I wanted to necrobump the thread. I quoted your post because it's relevant, and you were right. I wasn't trying to prove you wrong. I didn't know people were confused. 

“As for why Mewtwo isn’t paid content from the start". Why was anyone be confused by this? It clearly implies Mewtwo will be available as paid DLC later on.

I'm still undecided as to whether I'll get the 3DS version. I'd really rather pay for a DLC pack that brings back Mewtwo and Roy with a few new maps. DLC #2 (I'm dreaming here) could be Crash and Master Chief with a new game mode.

"MK8" has paved the way - I'd really like to see Nintendo extend the shelf life of "Sm4sh" with some similar DLC.

It also might mean no more dlc characters though there are already 50 characters (52 adding extra 2 miis), which is alot already :)
