I have been waiting for something good to play on my Wii U. I got a feeling this is it.

It is my review scores so far to compare, for wii u games only.

1. Mario kart 8, 9.8/10 + upcoming dlc included in score (just know its gonna be great ;-D)

2. Pikmin 3, 9.4/10 + dlc.

3 hyrule warriors, 9.3/10 + dlc.

4. Tropical freeze, 8.8/10. Too short to be elevated higher

5. Wonderful 101. 8.4/10

6. Mario 3d world. 8/10

7. New super mario bros. 6.1/10

8. Rayman Legends. 6/10.

I just can't see how legends is a 6/10 game.

My 'review': http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=190849

I've only played the first half dozen or so missions, so it's more of my knee jerk thoughts on the game.

So far i give it a 8.5
Im taking my time with it, so i dont feel like i need to buy another game before smash 3ds comes out

The local multilayer made it a lot more fun

It's really fun and all but it has the usual Nintendo flaws of not thinking games through.

- A lot of fighting bosses is dependent on waiting for them to attack. Not really a good fit for such a fast paced game.
- The constant cutscenes that you can't turn off break the flow of the game. One itme I started a combo and when the cutscene ended I was in the middle of a bunch of enemies caught in their attacks. That you can skip most of them doesn't make it better.
- There is no way to restart to a checkpoint or savegame or anything for that matter. Either you have to quit the whole scenario and go through all the menus again or you have to die. That's pretty much a death sentence to a fast paced game with challenges that have to be repeated over and over when you make a mistake or lose a quarter heart too many.
- And if that isn't bad enough, both winning and losing take ages and have multiple cutscenes and unskippable screens. You might think that after you get defeated you want to quickly jump into it again, but no. First you have to sit through a minute long conversation as extra punishment. I spent at least 10% of this game waiting for things, excluding actual loading times.
- The hit detection is inconsistent with bosses, especially when they are fought into a corner.
- There isn't a proper tutorial. If you haven't played a Musou game before you have to learn everything by yourself or read all of the little chunks in the tutorial menu.
- And of course since this is a Wii U game, the frame drops. I really don't mind the shitty graphics of giant pixels and mushy textures but it really sucks when the game goes into slideshow mode.

But yeah. totally fun and all.

Short and simple :---)

clever controls, i recommend using the zelda styyle, light attack b, heavy y, special x, dodge a. When you press the lock on button, you dont have to hold it in, but press L another time to release the lock on.

I really enjoyed all the variety in this game, and yes, there is a lot. 13+6 dlc characters, all with different weapons, combos, stats, levels, and play style. My mains are Link, currently at level 63 impa, lana and agigtha.

I was surprised to see how much play time adventure mode offered, I have owned this game for a week, I live in europe, and have played it every day for a week :--) the story is cute, and the characters all have their unique personalities which shine through.

Collecting items, new weapons, weapon upgrades, and getting perfect scores is very addictive and fun.

The only con i can think of, i downloaded this game on e-shop instead of buying a retail version ;----(

there you have it, after one week of play-time, and not some rushed bullshit review, I am happy to inform yall this game exceded my expectations.

Final score 9.1/10. When dlc is complete, 9.3 out of 10 ;--D

get excited, its great!

I agree. on everythign expcet teh 9. I love it, love it very much but tehre is somethign it still missing to be a nine. Adventure mode is great but I haven't played much yet, so it might that that will chenge my mind.

But it is a sure must buy for WiiU owners!

The incoming patch will fix a number of those things.
