- The constant cutscenes that you can't turn off break the flow of the game. One itme I started a combo and when the cutscene ended I was in the middle of a bunch of enemies caught in their attacks. That you can skip most of them doesn't make it better.
- There is no way to restart to a checkpoint or savegame or anything for that matter. Either you have to quit the whole scenario and go through all the menus again or you have to die. That's pretty much a death sentence to a fast paced game with challenges that have to be repeated over and over when you make a mistake or lose a quarter heart too many.
- And if that isn't bad enough, both winning and losing take ages and have multiple cutscenes and unskippable screens. You might think that after you get defeated you want to quickly jump into it again, but no. First you have to sit through a minute long conversation as extra punishment. I spent at least 10% of this game waiting for things, excluding actual loading times.
- The hit detection is inconsistent with bosses, especially when they are fought into a corner.
- There isn't a proper tutorial. If you haven't played a Musou game before you have to learn everything by yourself or read all of the little chunks in the tutorial menu.
- And of course since this is a Wii U game, the frame drops. I really don't mind the shitty graphics of giant pixels and mushy textures but it really sucks when the game goes into slideshow mode.

But yeah. totally fun and all.

The incoming patch will fix a number of those things.
