You have to dig up visual novels to push your agenda. Bravo!

I just looked for some of the lowest selling games that came out this year, that's all.

Although Mr Khan makes a good point, Murdered: Soul Suspect being a studio killer makes it strong contender. Unless there's another game later this year that sinks its maker.

it´s funny that some people here say that third-party games suck and are not good enough for nitendo players, but as soon as nitendo moneyhats a third-party game it´s goty before it´s release

How many times does this have to be said? Let me spell it out for you...

THIS GAME WOULD NOT EXIST WITHOUT NINTENDO

Every other publisher flipped Platiunum the bird, but when they pitched it to Nintendo, they got the OK. Nintendo did not pay for Bayonetta 2 to not come out on other systems. They were the only ones who wanted it to come out at all. Know what moneyhatting is before you post.

While I do agree that the OP is being a bit too optimistic, I think they're the only one claiming its GOTY material.

Publishing a game to only appear on your platform is no different than the term moneyhat. All that phrase means a console manufacturer paying for a game to appear solely on their platform.

Even if It's deserving of being GOTY we already know it won't be.

I really don't think Destiny is going to get GOTY by the wider press. It looks like its going to have too many 7-range scores ... that doesn't get you into GOTY territory.

I think the new Far Cry will be more competetion.

I still think Bayo 2, *if* (and this is a big if) it's better than the first game has a shot, especially since there's a certain "hipster" appeal in saying "GOTY is a game you've never played but we have and you should".

Lets not forget the first Bayonetta on XBox 360 (the PS3 version was a bad port) had a Metacritic of 90. If Bayo 2 matches that, I think it has a very good shot at GOTY. Destiny is not going to have a Metacritic of 90, I'm doubting even 85.

Sorry, but this year its between Dragon Age, Titanfall and Destiny.

Don't forget about Smash Bros WiiU!

I have no doubt in my mind that it deserves the title, but I´m pretty sure some western game will win the most awards.

Probably Destiny despite it´s not overwhelmingly positive reception (not that it is a bad game, but I think people expected more from the whole 500 million $ affair and 4 years of development) .

Watch Dogs doesn´t even deserve to be nominated. Tired formulaic crap.

Titanfall fell off the map very quickly too.

...and Dragon Age: Inquisition......don´t know enough about that one.

Edit: Ugh, forgot about Far Cry 4 the new Ubisoft game in firstperson with plenty bars to fill and random crap to collect.

Would you call Bloodborne, The Last Story, or Lost Odyssey moneyhats? That's more or less the same thing, except that the Bayo IP was pre-existing.

Well, you would never hear me saying moneyhat voluntarily, but I consider all of them the same (although Bayonetta 2 is slightly different due to prequel and the game already being under development whenever Sega dropped funding for them)
