Destiny isn't winning any GotY with its "story". That's one of the biggest things that people will focus over in these things unless the game is literally structured to not have a story (ala Smash or Kart).


Doesnt matter. Bayonetta hasnt even come out yet, but i think Smash or Kart will be on the list.

Not talking about Bayonetta 2, really, as much as I am saying that Destiny won't win GotY or, possibly, even be in the running. Its either going to be games with actual good stories/plots, or its going to be something like Kart, Smash, or Titanfall where story is not even a part of the game.

Because it is a game that many people have enjoyed the prequel of. I know a guy who says Bayonetta is his favorite game of all time. This game has received nothing but praise from previews.

Every other publisher flipped Platiunum the bird, but when they pitched it to Nintendo, they got the OK. Nintendo did not pay for Bayonetta 2 to not come out on other systems. They were the only ones who wanted it to come out at all. Know what moneyhatting is before you post.

While I do agree that the OP is being a bit too optimistic, I think they're the only one claiming its GOTY material.

that doesn´t change the fact that the same users say there are no good third party games and that bayonetta 2 is goty, even without anyone of them playing it, if sega would have wanted a sequel, it would be just another lame third-party game

And like Mr. Clyde over there was kind enough to point out, multiple platform games don't perform well sales wise on Wii U is because of lazy porting. I still stand that the people who say that Bayonetta 2 is GOTY material are also still doubtful with all of the other hype games that came out this year taking up contendership.

Also, most of the people that played the first Bayonetta would have been ecstatic at the game coming out, regardless of WiiU exclusivness. Do you know the size of the first game's cult following? Far from just another lame third-party game.

It's also hard to give you a steady answer to this since I'm having a hard time reading it. Please, at least try a little to fix spelling mistakes. Also, punctuation. Does wonders for taking you seriously.

Quite frankly it doesnt matter who wins this year based on story outside of Dragon Age. Bayonettas story is weak, Titanfall has barely any story and Destiny, I haven't played that yet. Mario Kart and Smash Bros arent about a story, so just expect scores and gameplay to win the day this year, shall we? Next year Microsoft and Sony will start throwing out heavy hitters and the multiplats will come out swinging as well.

Bayonetta does have a real good shot this year but Destiny will probably win the most awards. I hope games like Shadow of Mordor compete for it, i have a feeling that it might surprise a lot of people. Also LittleBigPlanet 3, ACUnity, Farcry 4 all lokk good as well.
