The DSi got a whole internet store (DSiWare) that previous models couldn't access so this isn't exactly something new.

Personally (as a 3ds xl owner) i would have liked that more, because in that case I'd just definately buy it and feel happy about my new better toy! But like this, i'm not sure whether i really want to upgrade my system for some minor improvements or wait another couple of years for the next gen handheld, since there probably won't be too many 'new' 3DS games that the 'old' 3DS can't play.

I don't know why anyone expected the remaster to be of a Wii game.. I mean, I would love to see Prime Trilogy HD happen, but I know that it will most likely be Sunshine HD! :S

I don't remember exactly but either a new psx or ps2 version Sony made was not compatible to a about handful of games after the hardware revision.

Well, it's GREAT news for people still needing to get a 3DS. Xenoblade in 3D is gonna blow peoples minds. (Especially the prologue with the camera moving from a closeup of Dunban out to the reveal of what their World actually is.)
