I never got Xenoblade for my Wii, so I'm getting a New 3DS for...this.

A lot of games will be better with that second analog stick, though, and Xenoblade may very well be one of those games.

I could see this happening... The original also needed a RAM boost in the form of the Expansion Pack to work .

Meh. As much as I love Xenoblade I can't see myself getting it for a portable console. You need a big screen to fully appreciate the epic environments!

I never would've expected something like this from Nintendo (or any other harware manufacturer for that matter). It's really giving your fanbase the middle-finger.

GBC, DSi, GBA was the only Nintendo handheld not to have a revision with new exclusives. If anything we should have all seen it coming =P

Same. It kinda saddens me. I want to love and support the hell out of Nintendo but they aren't making it easy with this.

I just hope this will be their new handheld for the years to come. I would be even more disappointed if like two years in the future they annouce a "next gen" handheld.

Maybe you could also technically even count things like the N64 Expansion Pack and the Wii Remote Plus which both had 'exclusive' games.

But after only three years? Come on. and also, even if they've done it before doesn't make it right now. I mean EA has been doing microtransactions and DLC for ages, but we still hate it.
