It's two games in one now, so it could actually do decent. It's a good deal if you like 3D hack & slash.

Including Bayonetta in Smash will fix any eventual sales problem.

Because people will get to know her and see how cool her moves are especially her final smash summoning a huge monster etc.

Wii u will have 20-40 million consoles sold at maximum when all is said and done. I just dont see bayonetta 2 doing near as well with the install base disadvantage when you compare the two. Im guessing bayonetta 2 will probably sell between 500k and 1 million lifetime. I would be even more pesimistic if they didnt decide to include the first game...

Where's the evidence that the Wii U install base is interested in this type of game? PS360 had a >10x install base with inherently more people who're into the genre yet only managed 2 million between them. How does a, let's face it,

only ninty fans and kids have wii u.
bayonetta fans are negleting buying wii u just for one game.

I'm not sure a Metroid game would sell 1 million on the Wii U honestly.

Wii U owners are not buying a wide variety of games right now, even things like Pikmin 3 are struggling.

I think Bayo 2 could get a boost if it starts getting a lot of GOTY nominations, hopefully that will happen and hopefully Wii U owners will be willing to buy something other than just Smash Brothers this fall but I'm pessimistic simply because other good games like Zombi U, Pikmin 3, DKC: TF have had somewhat underwhelming numbers on the system as is and Bayonetta 2 is arguably more niche than all of those.

Usually I don't reply to things you say because they aren't always as ignorant as this one is. 

500k lifetime for Bayonetta 2 prediction is not the ignorant part.  Comparing it to W101, though, is.  W101, first of all, is a new IP.  New IP's will have a much harder time selling and getting known than an already established and successful IP like Bayonetta.  Minor success, yes, but success nonetheless. 

Secondly, W101 did not get nearly as much exposure as Bayonetta 2 already has.  People also have been paying way more attention to Bayonetta 2 than W101 since before W101 even launched.  

Last of all, the Wii U's userbase is going to be noticably larger than it was when W101 released.  This will also be a factor in the sales of the game.

There's too many people these days who buy a Nintendo console as basically their Mario/Mario Kart/party game console unfortunately (those who are willing to buy one anyway).

Nintendo is kinda reaping what they sowed in the Wii era by not diversifying enough and letting Sony/MS basically have free reign of all other types of gaming.

I want the game to do well, but realistically I'm bracing for the worst because I think that's a lot more likely. 

If this game sells more than 500k I'd be shocked.

If the Bayonetta fanbase is loyal enough (and most likely those that are pissed that it's on Wii U are a vocal minority), they can account for a decent percentage of sales.  I don't think it would be shocking at all to see 500k+ sales.  I would be more surprised if it matches and/or outsells the original PS3+360 combined LTD.

edit: I'll just use this post to say that I think 900k LTD is a reasonable prediction for this game.  Wont make any bets on it, though.
