It's more than i expected, atleast right away first week. I always thought that Mario Kart was the type of game people didn't really pre order and people picked up after they heard or somewhere that it was out.

Still no guarantee that it will boost hardware alot for a longer period, a lot of people who were waiting for this game might already have hade a Wii-U. Mario Kart games on consoles usually sell 1 copy of about 2-3 systems.

Technically, it's the best opening week for any MK before, since this is the first simoultanous release. So these numbers will be a little wrong, but anyway:

MKWii: +2.073 million when launces alligned (I think that's spelt wrong), 1.08 million FW.

MK DS: +503k when launches alligned, only 182k FW!

MK7: +1.279 million when launces alligned, 684k FW.

Still technically wrong :P An increase of 666%, means 766% of previous number (in the same way an increase of 5% means 105% of previous number) so it would actually be 7.66 units :D

I wonder if Kaz would be OK with throwing a Blue Shell or a Bomb at him!
