ubi happy gamers are not.

Why?

expectations were to high we thought we would get something revolutionary and we didnt overall its a mediocre open world game with a little gimick(hacking my ass)

From what i've heared it's a good game (maby not mindblowing or revolutionary, but good) and my friends that have it seem to like it.

It sounds like you fell victim to overhyping.

im pretty sure i didnt. its the way ubi showed the game.. gameplay, mechanics etc. its what i call false advertising i cant go into detail right now but just take a look at metacritic (user score) its below 5 so im not the only one.

Everything they said you can do in the game can still be done, everything they shown can still be done. The only difference is that it Isn't as pretty as it was in 2012 so half of the gaming community is butthurt over this.

Wii U sales will generate massive numbers of doom threads.

Wow, those numbers though, impressive.

It won't sell a single copy on the WiiU, because it WON't come out for the WiiU!

C'mon now, don't crash my dreams so early. I and approximately 437 other Wii U owners would be very pleased, if we got the game.

Too bad Ubisoft doesn't give a damn about you, guys!

My lowest ranked friend (with 0 on online contracts leaderboard) is 1,046,604th. So, Watch Dogs has sold at least 1m on PS4.

EDIT: found another leaderboard with lowest ranked friend at 1.3m

Only on a PC that's more than 400,000 copies and we found it in the ranking statistics.

I wonder how many of these were free codes included in GeForce-Bundles.

They ship/sell ~9 million discrete GPUs per quarter: http://www.kitguru.net/components/graphic-cards/anton-shilov/nvidia-holds-discrete-gpu-market-lead-as-shipments-decline/

Only a small part of them will be the "big GeForce" cards eligible for a Watch-Dogs-key.

Not bad numbers I guess, kinda surprising considering how quickly it dropped on the top sellers on Steam. I guess it did well via other storefronts and retail.

Probably would have done better if the PC version wasn't as buggy as it is as well.

Check out my hype threads: Cyberpunk, and The Witcher 3!

Ubisoft games are notorious was being un-optimized on PC, making these numbers doubly impressive. Even on high end rigs, the game gets incredibly sluggish if you crank up the setting. Would not recommend.

The friends of mine on Facebook who have bought the game seem to corroborate what a lot of reviews were saying about the game; that it's good, but merely "good" is a bit of a disappointment in this case.

I'm expecting sales of this game to be very top-heavy, dropping off relatively quickly after the first week. It was Ubi's strongest launch, but I don't think it'll topple the Wii versions of Just Dance 2 and 3 as their best-selling games. It might rank in with the Assassin's Creed games, though.

Will not be the case at all. People with the new consoles are going to eat up the new big titles. It'll certainly be over 10 million by the end of the year.

Doubt it. Ubi have never had a single title sell more than 10 million.

If we're talking 10 million combined across all platforms then yes, I think it's possible, but outside of Just Dance their best-selling series is AC, and no single version of that has sold more than about 6-7 million copies in its lifetime. That includes the original AC, which presumably would have spurred on a lot of sales because it was released at a similar time in a console's life cycle.

Going from what I've read of the UK, PS4 sales nearly doubled, but by comparison Mario Kart 8 saw Wii U sales increase nearly sevenfold. I think more of the Watch_Dogs sales would have been PS4/XO owners who were really jonesing for something new to play. The game appears to be good enough to draw in new gamers a bit, but I don't think PS4 or XO have that must-own killer app yet.

Why are you only looking at sales for individual platforms?

Please, we all know PC users don't buy their games
