The friends of mine on Facebook who have bought the game seem to corroborate what a lot of reviews were saying about the game; that it's good, but merely "good" is a bit of a disappointment in this case.

I'm expecting sales of this game to be very top-heavy, dropping off relatively quickly after the first week. It was Ubi's strongest launch, but I don't think it'll topple the Wii versions of Just Dance 2 and 3 as their best-selling games. It might rank in with the Assassin's Creed games, though.

Edit: I also read posts about uplay crushing. That would explain people giving it a terrible score on metacritic regardless of how good the actual game is. Just a theory though.

well there are no reliable reviews/scores and has never been but you have to start from somewhere..also most people will  say praise anything when they pay 60 bucks even for a game thats bad "defense mechanism" and call it a good game.

Will not be the case at all. People with the new consoles are going to eat up the new big titles. It'll certainly be over 10 million by the end of the year.

I find it hilarious that games that meta in the low 80's are considered mediocre. That's a B1 which is considered very good in grading standards. Mediocre means average quality which should be in the 50's meta range. Seriously nowadays with ratings it's considered Amazing AAA 90+ or its considered a disappointment. Metascore is in no way correlated to the enjoyment you get out of a game. Isn't that why we play games i.e. to enjoy ourselves ? BTW I haven't even played WD or do not plan on getting it till a price drop as I have other priorities regarding money atm. This is just talking games ratings in general .

1. Are you sure that pirated games have found no access to the list?
2. Don't forget that Watch_Dogs download codes are budled with selected GeForce 6XX and 7XX graphics cards.
3. You could pre-order the code for around 18 Euros in the Indian Origin store and similar sites.
