I wouldn't like that at all. The problem is not with "Satoru Iwata", it's with "Reggie Fils-Aime". Michael Pachter is just mad that he can't dictate the company, so don't listen to his rubber mouth. Reggie is the face of NOA. He is the one I hold responsible. There's nothing wrong with the Wii U hardware, it just need games. Reggie acts like he don't have a voice within Nintendo and should of enlighten "Iwata" more on the western market. But all in all I am happy and not apart of the complainers.

I think the culture difference would be too much for an American CEO-type to properly respond to.

I agree Iwata should go, but get a replacement that understands both Eastern and Western markets and can address the needs.

Things are not going to magically get better, even if Iwata gets out. I also not sure if he should be fired.

Nintendo needs to be quirky. There is no one left in the market like them.
I am sure there is ton of candidates that can make a profitable black box, with similar but slightly weaker hardware than SONY/MS black box, same architecture, paid online and an eventual cash grab/DLC. Or just go SEGA, since hardware is not being sold at profit anyway, thirds never really helped and/or Nintendo fans don't buy thirds game.

But being successful while being awkward, that is the real challenge.


I do believe that giving NoA more autonomy is way more important. And it may be the case that it will be easier to have Iwata doing that since he learned the hard way, than a new CEO.
