ToxicJosh said: Also; everyone is aware that E3 is an industry even right? It's not open to members of the public: https://www.e3expo.com/attendee/2162/attendee-registration-policies/ So all this talk of gamers being there is complete BS. And Nintendo is still there. They're just not having a press conference in the Nokia Theatre. Instead they're having a Smash Bros tournament, that IS open to the public. |
Is the news that floods the net from the thousands of media outlets that attend "industry only" too?

You are aware that they are still going to be there talking to the press right? All the hands on impressions that we get each year are still going to happen.
The press conference is still happening, just not on stage in a room full of people.
and @IAmAwesome, from Nintendo's e3 site:
"Watch live as 16 highly skilled Super Smash Bros. players take each other on in the first-ever Nintendo-sponsored Super Smash Bros. tournament. We’ll share more information soon about the invited participants, the announcers, and how fans can view the tournament in person and via webcast."
Looks like it'll be open to the public to some extent.
