Actually no, you need the camera at the bare minimum.  The move was talked about as being useful for certain experiences, but not required for all.   Since Morpheus lights up as it is, the camera already tracks the device.

That having been said, not sure how that makes XB1's VR cheaper, since it already starts out $40 more expensive (camera 60, XB1 +100 etc..).

Lucky you, I've been waiting since the eighties. Along with AI and talking computers.

I think this will do OK if its $300 or less. Obviously it's not a device for everyone, but I think there will be a decent sized fan base of the market who will be really interested and curious in this.

If PS4 sells 100 million for example, I could see there being 15-30 million VR owners over time. 

Definitely intrigued to see how this plays out. I always liked VR.

I don't believe that VR headsets will be really successful anytime soon but what's with your friends if you have to worry about their reaction? First of all you can use it without them and if they are next to you just let them try it out as well? Most will love it after experiencing it and even if not, as friends they shouldn't care too much about how you look in your home when you play games. That's why they are your friends and not your boss.

Im with Nem that I dont think this will catch on and resources could be better spent elsewhere (but I also thought that about Kinect, Wii, Wii U and Move and was 60% correct on that) but im not going to argue about it with people. I dont think Id like it at all. Chem safty goggles dont fit around my glasses (prescription isnt bad but the frames are rather large) and I dont think the VR would work with them either.

However, as a Sony fan, I hope this is profitable and becomes the next big thing in gaming. I wouldnt be opposed to that (unless you needed to play a game but Im under the impression its an alternate way to play games)
