I'm curious as to what people say. The WiiU's online seems to be at least a generation behind the competitors. The OG Xbox on the other hand had revolutionary online support back in the day. If you compare them then which one do you think had the better online infrastructure.

They mean that Wii U online is on the same level that the PS3 and Xbox 360, not Original Xbox. Remember that the Wii U generation is the same one as PS4 and XBox One.

Yes but the Xbox was a generation ahead of it's competitors which puts them on the same level.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Online is worse on PS4 and Xbox.

Trophies are locked behind it and less media features + bugs = fuck you for releasing this so early

DC on 56k > Wii U's online infrastructure lol.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

What game on 3DS or Wii U has as much traffic as Halo 2?

Monster Hunter 3U. Even Pokemon lol

I strongly doubt any MH generated more traffic than Halo 2.

It did. Monster Hunter 3 was the most game played ever on Wii

Wii U by a landslide.

Wii U. Miiverse is great and behind the scenes it's a lot better than 2004 tech. To the player though they are pretty similar.

Also what's this talk about online not working in platformers? Lag is only for player to player interaction, not player to world. Unless the platformer has you jumping off other players, the platforming mechanics aren't affected. Onlineplay is much simpler in a platformer than a shooter. The reason they don't do it is because the feature is unpopular, not because of technical issues.

Bullshit.

Its interface issues, which arent easily solved by technical application, you can only distort/manipulate the game engine in so many ways.

Try online in a platformer and come again

With a shooter, you shoot through walls remember? Its a lot of imprecise rendering that's redone to look precise. You should know this

What specifically are these issues? I'll take a day long ban if you can come up with some that are real problems unique to platformers.

I understand (I think) what your talking about with a shooter (although it's very easy to stop that from happening). Why can't the same happen with a platformer? If you're playing online with a friend, does it matter if they move a split second slow? On your local machine they'd still be moving and jumping just fine.

I had the original XBL and I now have a Wii-U and the Wii-U wins for the simple fact of Miiverse. Hands down the best thing out of ALL three consoles. It's like a virtual community.

Miiverse and eshop alone make this a no brainer.
