ME2 builds upon the incredible world established in ME1 in terms of story/characters/environments/space politics; the dialogue (and the voice acting that executes the dialogue) is superb, making even the most bizarre alien characters feel relatable. ME2 also has an engaging combat system that borrows a lot of great things from Gears of War and uses the radial wheels effectively to add a tactical edge to the combat. The character classes feel distinct and really allow you to play the game according to your own play style.

Mario Galaxy

I almost wanted to say Xenoblade but I didn't like the graphics as much and since both games came to close, I would have to say Mario Galaxy

Third - Red Dead redemption

Skyrim was crap LOL. Elder scrolls easily the most overrated RPG series, damn fell better got that off my chest.

What a tough choice.

For me it would be one of the following: Zelda: Twilight Princess, Red Dead Redemption, Battlefield 3, Bioshock: Infinite, Mass Effect, Gears of War 3, Portal 2, GTA5, and The Last of Us.

It's too hard to choose only one.
