Forums - Gaming - Grown, in school, and you can't even comprehend. £450 for XBox One photo.

isn't it forbidden to monetize official product photos and stuff like that? not sure if this purchase would be valid even if it would be only a 1 dollar purchase.

well the resolution is at least representative.

scraming wouldn't be such a problem if there weren't so many people falling for it.

How old is his wife when they had a baby? seriously.

He looks like he is around 27.

"Peter Clatworthy thought he had paid £450 for an XBox One console on eBay, but actually received a picture of one in the post.

The 19-year-old student, of Bilborough, had saved up in order to buy a limited edition Day One version of the console as a surprise Christmas present for his four-year-old son, McKenzie."

"Despite the listing stating it was a photo of an XBox One Day One edition console, Mr Clatworthy said he'd expected to receive the console as it was listed in the video games and consoles category on eBay."

This story has been all over the intertubes today, and I originally thought it was a joke. Everything about it, even the little throwaway details like his and the son's age, was ridiculous.

Until I heard that he was from Nottingham. Then it all started to make sense.

Also, the vendor should be applauded for his ingenuity rather than forced to give a refund. He was just being a good businessman and he gave this kid exactly what he ordered.

If he is forced to give a refund, I'm going to start saying that the wrong side won World War 2.

I admit I kinda laughed at this....Got to read dat fine print

Reading stuff like this seriously makes me not wanna live in this country anymore...

On another note, I also thought that was an old Liverpool jersey at first, in fact, I thought at first glance it was Darren Farley, the impressionist:

lol I've used the line saying the PS4 is a gift for my kids, even though i know im going to play it a hell of alot i know theyll play it to. plus he'll be the only kid in his class with one for a while.. But my son is 8, so its a little better than a 4yo..

im also much older then 19.. and would like to think im smart enough not to buy a picture of an console on ebay.. I would love to see the original listing lol
