nintendo are not doomed but with its 3rd party support the wii U gamers certainly are.

Other companies probably dream of being as doomed as Nintendo. I wouldn't worry. Just do your part as a gamer and have fun.

Doomed? Not really. But they are in serious trouble, that's for sure. I'm sure they'll recover but what are they going to look like when they do and how much damage can the Wii U cause them?
If they release another console very shortly, they're gonna end up looking weak and if they keep the Wii U chugging at a super slow pace they're still gonna look weak, it's a classic damned if you do, damned if you don't.
I suppose the most reasonable thing would be to revise the packaging and bundles, focus on more and better online content and try to make their handheld division more profitable through 2014.
Then again, dedicated handhelds are probably going to fade away within a couple of years.

In summary; not doomed, deeply troubled, more like.
