If you are so worried, go out and buy a wiiu. Then buy games for wiiu every month. 1000 threads will never help nintendo situation.

LOL the Wii U is doing good sell as a HD Console. The Wii U is outselling the PS Vital and then some...come holiday season for and then some.

The Wii U sells keep going up & up with every month that goes by, and its not slowing down.

So its going to get the people who bought Wii in the next 1 year.

Not making any comment on whether Nintendo is doomed (actually I will - they're not), but people keep posting this article like it's current and it isn't.

Scroll to halfway down, it says:

They had 812.8 billion yen in the bank.  That dropped by nearly 50% the following year (mostly not from losses - mainly from assets bought).

I have no idea how much they've got at the moment.  Better asking Kowenicki or something like that.

I'm actually starting to become unclear on what the word means anymore.

The Wii U isn't doing well in any way, shape or form, but come on, this isn't like Sega where they only ever saw 1 console with global success, followed by 4/5 unprofitable platforms.

Yeah but didn't they make money off of the GC?

They are still taking a loss on Wii Us are they not?

Although GameCube wasnt a massive seller, Nintendo still made a tidy profit from it thus making it a worthwhile project. Take a look at the amount of software sold for such a small user base, some of the attach rates are quite good.

dont get worried, they arent going anywhere. just because they are having a really bad time with the WiiU doesnt mean they are doomed. 3DS is doing great and is making them a lot of money and will continue to do so for the next 3 years or so. also Nintendo have some big games coming up for the WiiU. Mario, Mario kart and smash bros and they will be talking about the next zelda at E3. just enjoy the games they will put out and dont worry about the system and company.

what i like about Nintendo is that even on the Gamecube and N64 era, people loved those games above many modern games. So hopefully they can get some money back, even if not big, for us to enjoy their games. Because no matter what happens, Nintendo games will always be top notch. And for me as a gamer, with online or not, is the most important thing. A $60 well done offline game can be played 10 years down the road, even when the servers are been down for a long time.
I have around 16 games for the Wii U, and increasing. A system that has sold under 4 millions, have above sold 5 million in just a quarter. And that is on a dying console. I want to think the Wii U is more about what people can't realize, it is carbon right now but with a little more pressure it can be a diamond.
