I usually pretend the handhelds versions don't exists. That's what I do for Metal Gear Solid, God of War, Uncharted, Kingdom Hearts, Zelda, Metroid, etc.

Well, stop doing that and go play Peace Walker. It's all the other Metal Gears you should pretend don't exist.

Kingdom Hearts is one of those franchises i just can't get into. Way to many games and plattforms at this point

I wish I could. But if the story is almost incomprehensible with all the games included,it is COMPLETELY incomprehensible without them. Trying to play Kingdom Hears 2 is like trying to play Final Fantasy XIII.

...which is also made by Square, so that kind of makes sense.

Birth By Sleep and Dream Drop Distance are main story games. If you skip those and go straight to 3 you will be left very confused. Just because they're on a handheld doesn't make them any less of game than the console versions, hell Birth by Sleep is my favorite game  in the series.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Well I'm lucky that way because all I care in Kingdom Hearts story-wise is that I get to explore the worlds of Disney movies. Which is why to me Kingdom Hearts 1 is much much better than Kingdom Hearts 2 (that and the combat was more enjoyable).

Signature goes here!

The only solution is to go multiplat yourself.

I'm glad I did cause I've got to enjoy almost all of the KH games.

Only ones I still need to play are Re:Coded (which I already have) and DDD which I still need to get when I get my 3DS.

Edit: Even though I already played 358/2 Days on my NDS Lite years ago I'm still gonna watch that 2 and half hour cutscene on KH 1.5 HD remix.....for the enjoyment of seeing the storyline in new HD and to get the trophy (I think you get a trophy if I remember right...).

That'd be nice, but I'll never be able to justify that purchase, even if I could afford it. :(

UGA is a great game

Storywise it adds nothing new to the Uncharted world but it's a great game.

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

That's why kingdom hearts 1.5 hd remix is about to be released, and we all know 2.5 is coming

You will know the full story before kingdom hearts 3 is out

I could know the whole story now, just by reading wiki articles or watching cutscenes on Youtube. Is it so much to ask that I be able to play the story of those games though, instead of watch it?

If I'm not mistaken, KH 1.5 Remix includes content from the DS game, but only in the form of a 3-hour cutscene. That is really not an appropriate solution...

That's the only possible solution. That is, if you don't have 50 millions to fund the game.

If I wanted to know the story, I'd look it up. If I wanted to play the game, I'd buy it the old fashioned way. I just think it's ridiculous that I have to invest so much to understand how a direct sequel I already own connects to the first.
