Did Reggie really just say this?

Now that FF7-R is Real, a Wish List

in Gaming Discussion on 17 June 2015

vivster said:The more I think about it, the more I think it will just be a regular new mainline FF with a FF7 skin. You know, with as much as crazy new gameplay elements they could think of. Dunno about that.  Sounds like a waste....

Now that FF7-R is Real, a Wish List

in Gaming Discussion on 17 June 2015

Square Enix has a tough job ahead of them. I think everyone has a vision in their head about what FF7-R should be, and trying to satisfy all of them is not going to be easy. For myself, I'll be content to just get a great game. To that end, there are a few things I'm looking to see Square do with this. 1. Ditch the fixed camera perspective. It's pretty much a given that the environments in this...

So, your thoughts on Amiibo Crossing Party 11?

    So That Nintendo Conference...Yeah...

in Nintendo Discussion on 16 June 2015

I can't imagine why anyone would be disappointed. There was a Wii U Metriod game...kinda. There was a Wii U Animal Crossing...kinda. There was a release date for XCX...in December. They're finally doing something substantial with Amiibos...in Skylanders. Really, the only thing that disappointed me personally was the new 3DS Zelda game. A co-op Zelda game in 2016, where you can team up as...

Sony 2015 E3 conference, history was written there.

JNK said: Mythmaker1 said: What I'm talking about is scale and mechanical depth. Skyward Sword has a very small scale and very little mechanical depth. I can't speak to the mechanical depth of GTAV, but the scale of that game is enormous. As far as "40 hours", I can only believe that it takes you that long to 100% Skyward Sword. As far as GTAV goes, not including multiplayer, there...

mZuzek said: Mythmaker1 said: My opinion is that Skyward Sword isn't good (on its own merits, much less judged as part of the series), but that opinion is not based on taste. The story is, by virtually any standard, shallow, badly paced, and internally inconsistent. The mechanics are, by virtually any standard, lacking strategic depth or challenge. And while elements of Ocarina of...

Yes I can. They're both cycles in which people judge the franchise. Its perfect valid and its completely based off real events that commonly keep occuring The "Sonic Cycle" is...

What it does have is a lot of fan-service, a unique art-style, and superficially interesting combat mechanics.  Speak for yourself. In my opinion it's a far better game than Twilight Princess or Ocarina of Time (considering OoT by today's standards, not 1998's). I have several...

I remember they said once that they took three years to perfect the 1-1 swordplay mechanics of Skyward Sword and come up with an art-style that suited it... Because each Zelda is built, more or less, from scratch. New assets, new art-style, new controls, new engines, and so on. That takes a lot of time. Many sequels these days are built using similar engines or recycled assets in order to save costs and time....
