I'm surprised people still go on about this. I mean they've been counted as one game since forever. There's no reason that's gonna change all of a sudden.

Could be worse. Just don't say that Mario Kart is a racing game.

Mario Kart is a racing game! Anyone who thinks otherwise needs to play the game.

I'm not sure what Rol is trying to say exactly, but it is a go-kart style racing game.  However, the results of each race isn't always determined by your ability as a racer and more of your ability to use and defend yourself from items.

Okay, still a racing game!

I'd say Super Mario 3D Land

even though i kno you wouldn't be surprised but some people will be willing to say that O.o Like how SSB isn't a fighting genre game

Is a brawler, not quite a fighting game, same as wrestling or boxing games not fighters either.  Where the health bars, rounds (yeah boxing has rounds, but it isn't best 2/3).

Brawler, fighter. Tomato, tomahto. I'm pretty sure you fight in Smash Bros., just like you race in Mario Kart, hence they can be considered fighting and racing type games respectively.

Is a clear difference.  Is like trying to call Mario Kart a driving simulator, well you drive in it don't you?

It's not a driving simulator because it doesn't use real word cars or mechanics. It is a racer however because you, well, race.

Just out of curiosity, what are the chances of Animal Crossing: New Leaf breaking 10 million? Counting digital.

Ur making rediculous arguments, Smash is a fighter, Mario Kart is a racer.

Brawler and Racing Sim are subcategories of those genres.

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

Right and SSB is not a fighter because it does not use 1v1 at a time combat, health bars or a round system.

Doesn't matter how you fight, as long as fighting is the main draw of the game then said game can be considered a fighter. How you fight just determines the specific type of fighting game it is.
