No, "You fight, so fighter" is a generalisation.  Listing specific features that define a genre is not generalising.


Saying something has to have another thing just because most do is a generalization as well.

All asians are good at math. All pizzas have tomato sauce. All fighters have health bars and are 1 on 1.

Those are all generalizations because ur assuming just because most do, that all do.

Using a wiki as a source is automatic lose.  That is a generlisation.  Fighters being 1v1 and having health bars is a fact, one some people try to ignore because they have misguided notions that if they can make a game the best seller in a genre it is somehow better, doesn't change a fact.  All asians are good at math is not a fact.  If nobody knew the sales for SSB series this wouldn't even be argued.


Say what u want about wiki but for the most part Its accurate. Also it is not a fact, they do not have to have those things but for the most part fighting games do use them. Smash Bros, Power Stone, PS All Star are all fighting games.

Many genres have sub genres. There are turn-based RPG, First-Person RPG, Stratrgy RPG, Open-World RPG. Metal music has many sub genres, Death Metal, Black Metal, Heavy Metal. Brawler is a sub genre of Fighting as is Racing Simulator to Racing.

Like EVER or just end of the year? If you actually think no other 3DS game ever will reach 10MIl it's bet-worthy. I'd bet Pokemon  X/Y will surpass 10Mil sales by end of 2013.
