ROFL dude... Did you REALLY argue with me about the DS4 while I was just making an random exemple of talking about our ass.
You know what, sit down, take the time to read before to become all blue and reply non-sense :)

I have no friends who said such things about the PS4/new controller... It was all made up to show you how it is ridiculous to claim such thing as "my friend is blah blah blah". You are killing me ahah.

Riiiiight...What ever helps you sleep at night. knowing that the Kinect and daddy Mircosoft is always by your

Oh that now :) Keep going lol I'm sure you have a friend who works at the Area 51 who knows some aliens and are aware of a big conspiracy from Microsoft to spy on you and dominate the earth in a near future? right?

Sure Big daddy MS won't give away your infomation?

Like nobody else will do, right.

So include an expensive peripheral to do a feature that was already possible without it...seems like a good idea.

Well, Kinect does more right.  It recognize the controller and the person holding the controller.  It automatically setup the controller based on your profile.  It migth also setup the controller based on you and the game you are playing.  So every time you play an FPS game it automatically grab those settings but then you might play COD with different settings and it customize the game based on that.  Give the controller to someone else and if their profile is on your console or maybe even in the cloud, bam its like you are playing at home.

What it appers to me is that MS is putting a lot of time and thought into Kinect for games and even for non game type scenerios with navigation and voice.  the reason Kinect is with every X1 because its MS way to separate the X1 from all other competition and devices that just play games.

The controller thing is a little feature but if MS can continue to bring little features that make you feel this is something last gen did not offer, the experience as a whole could be a killer app.

Right now, I see more of these type of features coming out from MS than Sony.  It appears every week you hear a little bit more how Kinect improves the overall experience of the console.  Hofully MS has some demos of how Kinect can do that within games to make the extra hondo worth the price for the system.

hmmm man I admire your dedication... I think you are better off leaving those kind of thread die off... the Kinect haters and Sony fan base Kinect haters are just too overwhelming... it's like a herd of predators hunting an injured prey.... lol

and they'll always come at you with an argument telling you they don't care about those features and certainly not with a 100 bucks more to pay for it....

what I find funny is I hope those people are not the one buying iPads and high end phones at launch such as  Samsung GS4 or iPhone, or even MBPs cause it makes their argument for a 100 bucks quiet laughable IMO.... because if there is something today that is really overpriced for no valid reason AT ALL it is those products...

but hey congrats on fighting the good fight, me I gave up.... I will enjoy my high end "gimmick", as they love to say, to optimize my entertainment time while they'll be button mashing in menus and wasting time in dashboards and everybody is happy, well at least I will be....

Its true that it will be MS job to show the advantages of Kinect 2 instead of us here talking about its features.  I know what I want from the device and it appears MS is going down that route so I see benefit in it.  I want IBM Watson.  Watson convince me that very soon you will be able to naturally speak to a device and it will understand you and do what you ask.  This seems like where MS is headed with voice.  It also might be one of the reasons they are spending so much money on their cloud infrastructure and why they wanted an always online console.

Anyway, we all have to remember that you cannot change a person mind.  Most of us are not open to new or different opinions.  Instead once we think a certain way only time and continue evidense that we are wrong usually changes most people minds on a subject.  I never try to change anyone point of view, I just share my own.  I actually like to have my viewpoint challenge if the person knows what they are talking about.  Even if I do not agree, I always respect their view point and sometimes I find out, I did not know what I thought I did.

well my issue here is not their opinion and I'm done trying to change their mind because I don't really care at the end.... what I have issue with is consitency, when you see people use an argument in one convo (it's too expensive because of the stupid kinect I don't wanna use) but you see them throw money for other products way over the value of the hardware for NO, ZERO, NADA added advantage beside maube design which is completely opinion based and doesn't usually justify the price hike... to me it voids completely their credibility in the conversation....

it's be like fisherman trying to tell you hunting is bad....

First of all, people dismissing MS selling your information, I would venture to guess are young kids (Under 18) for the most part. It's already confirmed that they have been doing this for years. To act as if you're a crazy conspiracy theorist is not based in any logic or facts. So I do see legitimate concerns over placing an 'intelligent, voice recognizing, always connected online camera' directly into the center of your home.

Secondly, Microsoft is looking to attack a variety of revenue streams and that's the primary reason Kinect is forced upon consumers. They look like they're providing a lot of value, when ultimately it's designed for their eventual bottom line. Sure, some features will be useful, fun and even potentially game changing.

However, there is definite cause for concern over it's legitimate functions as it pertains in a gaming environment. Which then leads you down the path of questioning your need to own it if you don't plan on utilizing the multimedia features (Anyone outside of the US, I'm talking to you).

It's not just Sony fans. It's most people.

Nope they are not selling information without your consent I can guaranty you that.... Read your god damn TOS people.... if they were that would be a class action law suit in the making.... in all honesty I would love for them to do it, I could use the cash I would make from the gigantic fine they would get....
the NSA stuff is a different story this is not sold to the gov it is just application of a court which is what any company or private person has to do no matter what…. If tomorrow the NSA comes to your door with a legal court order and ask you information about your family members you comply or you get charge with obstruction to justice….

second you are not always online, and don't come at me with a "you don't know that"... I know about every single data package living and entering my network....

and so what about revenue stream?? the patent about multi viewer... first it will be completely unusable for them beside streaming since you can be offline for the rest... you can DL any content and consume it offline.... and even if it was enforced, it would only drive cost per person down which is something I will love...
but it's not happening anyway too many people like you and the crybabies of the web would go mad about that change even if it could be beneficial to the customer on the long run...
but let say they do it and in an evil way... I can think of many ways to trick the system.... so I'm not worried a second...

and no there isn't any cause for concern beside paranoia...

and I have a kinect 1 outside the US I use it every time I use the box outside of gaming.... and the kinect 1 is just an after thought, so even if we don't have the TV passthroughkinect 2 will be used even more than the kinect1... the media stuff is coming in France and UK I can guarantee you that too... and there is so much more to do with it than TV if you want to actually use your Box instead of wasting time... but hey you know what I already wasted enough time on those silly retarded post with close to no valid ground beside group paranoia validation in search of rationalization of stupidity....
booohhhooooo the world is evil, big brother is everywhere, don't trust anyone....  GTFO *with new york Italo American accent*

Don't buy an Xbox One then, problem solved. But seriously, how much does an LED light for the controller cost? certaintly not £80.

Xbox Series, PS5 and Switch (+ Many Retro Consoles)

And your statement sums everything up. I don't understand why people can't embrace the fact that all of these consoles are different in their own way. Xbox doesn't have to have LEDs just because the wii u or ps4 does. I like their strategy and I hope that all of the, continue on their own paths because I will be enjoying them both on launch day just like I enjoy my wii u.

are you joking hear, isnt the light on the ps4 controller so the ps4 camera can recognise it like the old ps3 move controller? you know, so it recognises the player, so you can play fps games like killzone did, how many fps kinnect games were their?

i still don't see why is has to be included

The light on the PS4 controller lets the console know where the controller is but the last time I checked, the PS4 does not identify the person HOLDING the controller.  Sony has made no statement that the PSeye knows who you are, can pick you out and load your profile or can even find you in the cloud.  These are things that even the Kinect 1 can do besides the cloud part.

The only thing Sony showed about the light on the controller is that if you controller moves, the screen with switch to the other side.  This is great but very limited.

That light is useless now since you need the ps eye for it to work.

id rather choose to have it than be forced to have it, lets face it....not everyone wants the camera

Well, I bought the Eye for the PS2 and then bought it on the PS3, I will not purchase it again.  The reason why is that Sony isn't serious about the device and after a few months of interest Sony interest wanes and so does the device.  I do not know if the Kinect will be any better but it does appear that MS is serious about making it a feature of the console and thus I would like to see where their efforts take them.

You know MS has deals with media companies out side of the US right.  Anyway, you do know pretty much every company sells portion of your data.  Do you think all the data Sony has about your just sit on their servers.  Its crazy how people on one end will have this huge conspiracy about one company but willing and able to let their company of choice do whatever to them with a smile.  Keep thinking any corporation has your best interest and you will sooner or later be led to the truth. **They All Want you MONEY**.

Does the Kinect have other revenue uses that MS is thinking of, Well of course it does.  MS is a business, it would be stupid if they did not try to maximize their return on a product.  When Sony sells a memory card that cost 3 times as much as a standard card and you can only get them from Sony, what do you think thats about.

Do people really wake up with this notion that corporations like, MS, Sony, Apple, Google do not want to take your money.  That they find many ways to maxmize their profits and revenue.  That they try to fit their products into just about anywhere they believe they can make it sell.

Get real, you are not making any type of revelation.  Do not trust any corporation.  Its always there job to make you want their product and if they cannot then do not get it.

What? they got rid of an LED? I really thought I would hate it on the 360, but I'm use to it.

Hmm, still a bit weird - what if you are out of view of the Kinect? Like off to the side.

Still, I think we will see a bunch more cool things off of Kinect. Show us Microsoft!

And the Haters - what's the point of them? Most have them have Never used Kinect, or at most tried it once with plans to hate it. It's just like the people protesting the NY Subway when it we being built, or how Arizona worked so hard to prevent the Grand Canyon from being a National Park - they just people the the future will note as people against change, and we will be glad nobody listened to them. So pretend you are a steam shove, and they will get out of your way.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

well, i know i will be holding a PS4 controller

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

- George Orwell, ‘1984’

Wait they got rid of the 4 panel LED for which controller is active on the X1 console? or just the controller. Random fact : When an original Xbox360 is red ringed the accelerometer within the front of the system is unaffected by the general failure and the console will perfectly rotate the rings of death if you put the system Vertically or Horizontally.... I was quite bored one day waiting on a repair dude to come collect my 360! Now they've gotten rid of the most hardy part of the 360 design?, time to go in mourning.
