The big difference between the 2 is that Kinect is for gaming which is why i buy a console, Blu-Ray is a Format for watching HD movies, it has nothing to do with gaming excpet for storage. So id rather a product that gives me benefits when i play games then to pay for a Movie Player i dont use (Already have one)

I just read including Kinect is same as including Blu Ray. Now my head hurts

True Blu Ray drove the PS3 price up. It was the next format though. We now have a better DVD lol

Kinect 2 is just a better Kinect which was a better Eye Toy.

The result is paying $100-150 more for the Xbox One the you would have otherwise just to be able to say "Xbox On" and "Xbox TV"

OT: I have no interest in the kinect, I think the features are cool, but I feel when I get the XB1 I will use the kinect a few times and then just slowly revert back to the controller.

I also find it hilarious everytime someone says something they don't like about a console (whether it's Xb1, Wii U or PS4) You are automatically a fanboy from the other side. Give it a rest people, stop trying to convince others of purchasing something else instead of this other product. Some people are actually not interested in certain features. For me its XB1 Kinect & PS4 social media bullcrap. I'm only interested in the games. And so far all big three are delivering on that front to me. Time to save up for these three consoles.

Finally I will know which controller I'm holding! And all it took was some cameras with microphones and some rocket science put into it! Hell yeah!

I only have one controller for my PS3 so naturally, I'm wondering all the time which effin Controller I'm holding! Is it Number 1 or Number 1? It's friggin' annyoing! Won't happen with Xbox One, Next Gen has begun! Pre-ordering now!

Perhaps they could release a special edition of the System called the Xboxtwo which would have 2 seperate kinects incase you often play two player games on either side of a room so that the 2 Kinects could keep track to make sure you don't lose a controller or person while swapping controllers around!

Sorry but even the idea that this would be a benificial feature of the system and a reason to be happy that around 1/5th of your 500dollars for an X1 is going to a twin HD camera you may never want to use is pretty weak.

if you think about it too, it's not like MS didn't sink a shit load of money into the HD-DVD stuff even the drives for the 360 cost about 100odd euros when they first came out, I picked mine up for about 5euros after that format died just because it came with a nifty remote for the 360 which can skip songs during games without going into the menu and lights up all fancy like!

But yeah my point is, while Microsoft blew money on that and it's price wasn't immediately apparent on the system, every time a company loses money in one area they rope it back in another way, Gamers paid for that HD-Dvd drive and its mistakes even if they didn't buy it.
