for those that are just dead against kinect i just thought about something and why it may not be possible to turn it off. one of the benefits of the kinect is it's ability to recognize the contoller. that benefit for the kinect haters is the biggest problem. there is no controller number indicator on the controller now. i'm pretty sure you can plug it in and recognize the controllers like before.

Makes sense, I guess.
I don't like Kinect because I just don't. It's a device that is not useful to me. I don't like Siri in my iPod Touch. But Apple nicely has a disable option. So I'm not pestered by its poor voice controls. Kinect should be the same way. A option to the consumer were I can leave it in the box. Or buy a version that doesn't come with it.
It can identify your controller, so it's all worth it!
