It sucks man I know :( Luckily here in NZ its so easy to get an education don't need to save any money or anything so you can easily swap professions ( I was a plumber now im a computer programmer lol)

They didnt give a fu*k about my safety when I was plumbing so told them to get stuffed and went and did something else.

Stay positive, lifes a gift.

I try to. But I think I've really come to hate capitalism as a whole. I can't even help it anymore. I'm not saying that I advocate socialism since that leads to even more genocidal behavior. But, I'm just so tired of forcing myself and all I see now is people wasting their lives away for fake comfort.

That's why it's important to find a job in a field you love. No point in spending a large chunk of your life in a field you hate over money.

Yeah, I thought the same but... how long before I get bored? How long before I hate it? Or worst of all, how long before I feel like I've accomplished my fill and don't know what to do next? I'm not even sure if it would be a mistake and a waste of a majority of my lifetime on this planet.

Well if you find something you truely love than you might not ever get bored, but say in 10-15 years you have had enough than you find something else you're passionate about. My friend recently started taking things he finds for cheap at garage sales over at a local flea market and selling them. He says he's never been happier. He spends all his time driving around looking through other peoples things that they no longer want, or hitting up thrift stores and than he sells them that weekend at the flea market. Honestly he finds at least 100-200$ worth of gold and silver throughout the week alone for dirt cheap because places can't tell if its real or costume. Last week he sold 1400$ worth of junk which he spent 300$ on. That's not too shabby. With time maybe he'll make more and more who knows. His g/f gets on his case about not feeling secure etc but he doesn't give a rats ass he's finally doing something he loves and he's never been happier.  Be honest with your self and find your passion.

Thanks. That's good advice. I guess I'm just doubting that's even possible with how long it usually takes and how slow I feel my progress has been. I suppose a more positive way to view it all; would be that, regardless of corporate powerhouses and capitalist greed, it's all just human creation in the end.

There are bad jobs and there are good jobs too. Sounds like you've encountered much of the former, unfortunately.

I worked at WalMart for a summer job back in High School it wasn't that bad although I did see a lot of people quit while I worked there though at least 7 or 8 and I worked there for only 3 1/2 months.

I remember signing a waiver form to be able to get a job at Party Pig (which eventually became Party City once it was bought out) that I waive my right to workers comp if I got injured on the job. One would think this would be illegal but in order to start working you had to sign the waiver. I only worked there for about a month before getting a manufacturing job but I did fall off the ladder one time. Luckily it was only a step or two up but it still kind of hurt and almost knocked the wind out of me. I remember just going down the aisle trying to walk it off while cussing. Anyways, there are tons of shady business practices and this was just an example of one of them. Business are willing to cut corners and do many harmful things all in the name of profit. I just shake my head whenever I hear someone trying to advocate deregulation. Businesses need to be regulated.  Especially the mother fucking USA banks and investment firms.

So, you live in the US and you complain about having to work for a living and bosses and supervisors not caring?

Get a better job and stop complaining.

Just by being born in the US you lucked out. You could have been born in a country where you might have to experience REAL problems.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

If other people can find hapiness in their jobs, so can you.
Forget the bad exemples that you see around you or they will not only dictate your life, but cloud you of the good things in life.

Remember that those feelings aren`t who you are and what you want.

By the way, faith isn`t a magical feeling that makes everything wonderful. It`s not a drug. :D
If people take advantage of that, they shouldn`t.

Do something you want to with your life.  Also, give a listen to the album Love, Ire and Song by Frank Turner, good listen when your at that sort of junction of your life.

You are hurting because you are realising the truth but society tells you the exact opposite. From childhood you are told that succes equals a well paid job, but it isn't. You are starting to doubt capitalism? That's because it is wrong and corrupt. Striving towards profit is not a proper lives goal. You are struggling because you feel the way the world works doesn't make sense, and that's because it is not working efficiently right now. However you feel the pressure of society to ''fit in''. Just look at some of the comments here saying ''you should get help''. Well i'm sorry to tell you you won't find any help with this.... because you are right. As long as this world only cares about money will we never get anywhere and will remain on a fast track to destroying this planet.

What does help? Watch these two Zeitgeist movement movies, they fit in exactly with you feelings and you will realise you are not alone: (first movie ''zeitgeist 2'' escpecially from 40:00 in). Some parts you will not agree on everything but just watch them through.

I completely agree with you.
I had the same problem not too long ago.

But after a while I realized that if I want to be able to buy things I care about, like videogames, albums, movies and stuff like that, I just need some damn money.

So, I was (and still am) saying to myself: I'm not doing this shit just because that dude told me to do it, I'm doing it so that I can keep playing awesome videogames, listening to great music (yes, I am actually one of those crazy people who still BUY music albums), or go to the concert of my favourite band and so on.
