Forums - Nintendo - Are these the playable E3 games @ Best Buy?

Key word: playable.

How many PS4 or Xbone first party games will be playable at E3?

That's not really the point.

Nintendo said in an Nintendo Direct that certain upcoming WiiU games will be playable for the masses at Best Buy (not E3). So people hoped for a short demo of... Smash Bros., Mario U, Mario Kart U and the like.

Wind Waker HD is at the moment the only that has a late 2013 release date (though the Wonderful 101 had a later US release date than I expected) and where people didn't see a lot of gameplay already.
I mean the idea was to attract more people to the console and showing The Wonderful 101, New Super Luigi U and maybe even Pikmin 3, shouldn't have that much of an effect for new customers (in case this rumor is true).

I don't get why they would use Super Luigi U when it is like Super Mario bros U...

Mario Kart would have been a better fit since 5 players would have been able to play at the same time

oh well I guess they want to show games that are coming out pretty soon then

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

Someone really did expect we would be allowed to play some kind of Alpha stage of upcoming heavy hitters for 2013/14?!? these are finished games close to be released

If they said in January that Mario Kart/3D Mario would be playable at E3 why not at Best Buy? It can't be that hard to give people a short demo with 1-3 Tracks or different game modes.

unless theyre planning on a early november reales i doubt its a good strategy to show demos of games that arent goin to be available until 6 months have passed im starting to believe this is legit

Obviously nothing from 2014, but yeah demos for late 2013 releases should be certainly possible.
After all reviewers are able to play or at least see non-prerecorded demos starting tomorrow.

Oh, I see.

Great explanation about the issue, thank you.

Sigh. No Sonic, no Mario.

Least have W101

if these are the games then i was 100% right, and while bringing the demo's out are cool, they should be playable kiosks about now anyway and should be playable from now until a bit after the release. Not 4 hours for one day. Like i said, as expected. It's was a cool idea in theory,

I have Proof that this document is indeed fake!

the poster clearly says "play first in Wheaton". Wheaton is a City in Illinois.
But after checking the locations of the Nintendo experience on the homepage of BestBuy, I couldn't find Wheaton in the list!

check for yourself :

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Games-Promotions/Nintendo-Experience/pcmcat303600050002.c?id=pcmcat303600050002

(click on "Learn more" and select your State)

Its clearly fake

Sorry my mistake!! I found out there is another City in Maryland named Wheaton which is listed as a location! xD would have been nice though :p
