Let's say the console is going to have the most diverse, innovative, and fun game library ever.

Would you really buy it? Would you really want to take gaming in that direction?

Now imagine the console having a worse-than-the-best game library.

Would you buy it?

I'm not sure what direction you're referring to, but yes, I would buy it. In fact, I already pre-ordered mine.

Ok, fine I guess.

It does tell me a bit about you as a person.

And what might that be I wonder? That I actually liked what I saw from MS? That I'm not so irrational as to quickly condemn a product based on impartial, and unfinalised information? That I enjoy Microsoft's franchises, and have faith all their new studios will create some great new content? That I won't deprive myself of the chance to experience content I like just because some vocal mob is tearing it apart?

It tells me that you are cheap enough to willingly enable all of these intrusions on people's rights, and console gaming going in this direction, just because of some games, or worse, brand loyalty.

I LOVE ICELAND!

In regards to JRPGs, I would love to see Microsoft create first-party titles aimed at Japanese gaming audiences, rather than paying for third-party exclusivity. Having a title be first-party would mean that it would never come out on a competing console, and it could create more Japanese fans of Microsoft Studios.  I imagine that would be much more costly than paying for exclusivity, but maybe that is one of the ways Microsoft can do better in that region.  Suffice it to say that I will be very impressed if a couple of those 15 exclusives are first-party, Japanese market-oriented titles.

More people having access to more games, and more people that make games having jobs?  Sounds like a win to me.

I just hope they also release them in the West.  I really like anime would love to play some Japanese style games to see what all the fuss is about.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

Yes, while I want MS to try their hand at creating their own Japanese-oriented titles, I still would want them released worldwide for the western audiences that enjoy Japanese gaming.

Calm down and don't judge people.

What is ridiculous is that MS stated there will be 15 exclusive games released in the first year with 8 being new IP's and that their E3 press conference will be a game-centric affair, and the usual suspects are STILL going on and on about them not caring about games.

Is that constructive discussion? People are basically IGNORING what they don't want to hear so that they can keep railing on the Xbox One.

Mods, how is that not ultimately trolling? It's like railing on Sony endlessly for not showing the PS4 when we know they'll show it eventually. There is nothing constructive about it at all.

but that has been the case with a lot of them in this last gen.

And viceversa, my friend.

Not really. You have a few games here and there on PS3 that were timed exclusives, very few in fact. Joe Danger, and UT3.

Have you ever thought that MS is a wildly predictable company even though they are good at keeping their games development sealed tightly?

Yes. It will also be 17 games at launch. Quantum Break and Ryse are not internally developed like the 15 internally developed games.

The, "they'll all be kinect games" argument is pure downplay.

Saddly I have other worries than games on a console I'm not very interested in so far.

Game of the year 2017 so far:

5. Resident Evil VII
4. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
3. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
2. Horizon Zero Dawn
1. Super Mario Odyssey
