Chris Jericho is indeed awesome.

Yes. It will also be 17 games at launch. Quantum Break and Ryse are not internally developed like the 15 internally developed games.

The, "they'll all be kinect games" argument is pure downplay.

Um....you do know that Microsoft most likely owns those two IP's right?

I was aware that they are second party. They could count, they also could not.... We're better off waiting till E3 than discussing this here, though you're welcome to continue it on my wall.

Yes...just as second party as Lost Odyssey (which they own the IP to), but yes you're correct. E3 is coming up and I dunno..it would be refreshing to be shown something new by MS that involves games. Hearing about 16 new IPs...specifically from them from their track record is intriguing but I am skeptical because of their track record. Once I understand peoples minds set rarely do they ever stray from it.

What are you talking about, not 15 exclusives at launch, FIRST YEAR.

To be honest, WiiU will have more than 15.

In regards to JRPGs, I would love to see Microsoft create first-party titles aimed at Japanese gaming audiences, rather than paying for third-party exclusivity. Having a title be first-party would mean that it would never come out on a competing console, and it could create more Japanese fans of Microsoft Studios.  I imagine that would be much more costly than paying for exclusivity, but maybe that is one of the ways Microsoft can do better in that region.  Suffice it to say that I will be very impressed if a couple of those 15 exclusives are first-party, Japanese market-oriented titles.

LOL. You make it sound so easy, as if Microsoft could just create a couple JRPGs (with their non existing Japanese studios) just to cater to Japanese people, that don't buy xbox consoles even after all the JRPG games it got early this gen from SquareEnix and Mistwalker.

I meant first year. Just got my wires crossed with a discussion on another thread.

It tells me that you are cheap enough to willingly enable all of these intrusions on people's rights, and console gaming going in this direction, just because of some games, or worse, brand loyalty.

Calm down and don't judge people.

This! Also, people shouldn't assume the direction Microsoft is taking is a bad one. What they're doing is risky, but it's a good idea to offer all that funtionality in a gaming console. I'm still looking forward to what's going to happen later in this generation. I'd say it might be a success or just fall flat.

On topic: As a Sony fan, I'm not worried, but rather interested in what exclusives they are. Hopefully not full Kinect games.

You are right. However, they should totally buy Mistwalker (They helped funding it, I don't see why not purchase it afterwards), so that they've got their Japanese side covered (along with Capcom, which enjoys multiplatforms).
