I guess it stems from a age-old PS sentiment that "only AAA, gamepad, retail, exclusives count". Notice the 4 layers of filtering ;)

Since Journey got above 90 on metacritic, their attitudes have changed thankfully. But its still present in some circles.



Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

I'm worried to be honest, if Microsoft come out and announce games that I genuinely want then ill definitely be leaning towards getting an Xbox One, my problem is, is that if Sony announces Uncharted 4 then they have won me as a customer instantly, at the moment Microsoft just don't have a game or franchise that could do that for me.

Edit: Infact just Naughty Dog in general, ill probably be interested in anything they put out, Microsoft just don't have a developer like that for me, I loved Halo 3 so much, but I couldn't get into Halo 4 at all, it's bungie that make good games and Destiny is multiplat ;)

Are you saying that because you're a fan of Bungie, and because they didn't develop Halo 4 and you approached the game knowing that... you couldn't give 343i its due credit for the awesome work they did on that game?

I know many people like this. They call themselves "purist" or something. And they have the opposite of an open mind.

It's far more transparent than that. Bungee are now making a multiplat.... Hence "halo was only good due to it being Bungie" and "oh look, bungie now make a game for my system of choice"   

He actually says it himself. 

At least the part about being closed minded was right. ^_-

How about you two get a little history from me first, I've only owned Microsoft consoles my entire life (not including handhelds) I got the original Xbox on the day it came out and I've had several Xbox 360's over the past 7 years (reference: https://live.xbox.com/en-GB/Profile?gamertag=TomNinetyTwo ) so no I don't appreciate for one minute being called closed minded or you assuming to know anything about me.

I got my PS3 2 months ago, and since that time I've had more fun gaming than I have since playing Pokemon on my gameboy colour, I loved halo 1,2 and 3 and liked ODST, but both Reach and 4 were not my thing, not liking a new game in a franchise is not being close minded at all, for all I know if they do announce an Uncharted 4 it could end up being a let down, but for now I have the pleasure of believing that a studio won't let me down. I am not a purist by any means, I enjoy COD just as much as I enjoy any other game, and I'm sorry to let you know but saying 343's work on Halo 4 was awesome is YOUR opinion, and there are some parts of that game that are awesome, but overall it was a disappointment, to me. I hope that gives you some clarity, not that I should have to.

If you feel the need to reply to this then please be nice about it, I'm not on here to make enemies or upset anyone :)

Worried? No, not really, but I'll tell you whether I'm jealous or net once I've seen those games.

Oh ... and btw: I'm really happy that Sony is continuing the inFamous series even though it might be a "declining franchise". Want to know why? Because I enjoy playing those games and their sales numbers really don't have any influence on that.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

The 15 exclusives are confirmed to be internal exclusives. So those are not counting

Ryse and Quantum Break.

So actually there are 17 exclusives not counting those rumored 3rd party exclusives from GAF.

No, because we have no idea about these exclusives. 5-6 Kinect games, 5-6 Xbox Live games and 3-4 Full-fledged games doesn't really scare me just yet. Time will certainly tell but let's wait and see. The only thing that would 'scare me' from a Sony standpoint would be pricing. If they can significantly under-cut the PS4, I think they will make significant headway.

The problem Microsoft continually has and looks to continue to have is sustainability.  They don't have any developers with sustainability.  That's a problem.  Third parties are third parties.  Exclusives are ultimately what drives most purchases in the first place.
