Yup, and that's what I am trying to say. Though Sony might have some of the features, Microsoft is showing more even non-gaming multi-tasking and seamless experience applications, and putting it at the forefront of their device. A different product proposal altogether.

I agree this is a very game specific example. Sony focused way more on gaming in their event so this is the only example out there at the moment. 

After E3 I will deffenetly be coming back to update this thread with new info from both companies.

I just think Microsoft will push for the Most robust content, like the fantasy football.. For most people however the 2 systems will be near identical in their media service.

As for Kinect people keep forgetting that the ps4 comes with a camera too.

Voice commands and gesturing more or less confirmed for interface interaction on ps4.

Thats good. Good for them...thats what they came into the industry to do. I saw it coming a mile away. Im surprised Comcast hasn't been yelled out yet. Remember I had been saying for years they were going to turn the next Xbox into a TV/Cable box.

I personally believe that it is. In general, I have found myself to enjoy much more those things that appeal to the mainstream. Examples are hit box-office movies like the late Iron Man 3, Oblivion and a few others. I am hoping to see that kind of entertainment integrate into the world of video game entertainment. This far a lot of the content has been made by gamers and for gamers. I'm looking forward to see what the non-gamer world can bring to the world of gaming to bring in new blood to the industry. This far Sony was pleasing me with this with games like Uncharted and Infamous, but I am looking forward to see what this paradigm shift in gaming will bring to the content we see as a whole.

And Sony OS can do everything while playing a game... it is multi-tasking too (any BSD OS is).

The difference is Sony reserved more resources to games than OS apps.

To hell with PS4 im trying to figure out why people think its more capable than a damn SmartTV, tablet, smartphone, PC, etc. etc.

Multimedia and OS has always been Microsofts strength. Sony nailed games their first gen in. Both consoles play the multimedia that matters, but one console overdoes it by trying to hold console gamers hostage (without them knowing) in their battle against Apple for synchronicity between PC's, tablets and TV's and MP3 players.

Microsofts attitude towards MP3 players were soured because they couldn't outsell Apple and couldn't even dent their sales....so they left. This is the dent in Microsofts armor for anyone who says they will stay in a foreign industry just because they have more money. Heart...is better than money.

In other words, the dedicated gamer loses. So do you think this will benefit Sony or Nintendo as gamers flock to the consoles that don't restrict them from the price values they had before?
