Massive movie rental and buy list. Even buy 1080p HD films with smartglass inbuilt. Like The Hobbit recently. 63 apps. Live sports and sports apps for fantasy leagues. The One looks to capitilise on all these things and then some. Also the share button sounds moot now considering The One has inbuilt DVR that allows you to fully edit your videos before posting them to Youtube, Facebook, Twitter etc. You can add your own music cut and produce short films. etc. Im glad Ive paid for Live the last 7 years. |
lol sony's psx console had live stream tv and recording like 10 years ago, but i think there passion is in making games
Why did you think I bought a PS3 for my parents instead of a 360?
PS3: Play TV £20-£60 (Bought it for £28) can watch and record many free to air channels, if i was living in mainland europe it even supports HD channels. Blu-ray and DVD playback, netflix and lovefilm BBC iplayer, ITV player, 4OD.
360: requires sky and X-box live, for live TV via sky. Netflix, Lovefilm blocked behind paywall.
No Blu-ray player, DVD playback.
Which one is more multimedia capable in the U.K? Hmmm
Please feel free to quote me and add to 360 list with the truth.
PSP Lifetime more than PSV+3DS Lifetime.
yes the ps4 can do every thing and better then the xbo, ms just needed the hype.
also what MS did not tell u that the xbo needs another box the console itself cant change the tv channls
like they where doing at the show
VITA 32 GIG CARD.250 GIG SLIM & 160 GIG PHAT PS3

Even if you're correct, it seems like MS' marketting will hide the truth from consumers yet offer a packaging that veils it behind a facade, so they will bite and not even realize they're getting sifted.

Exactly! MS always pioneers like DVD and Blu Ray for example... oh wait.
Also remember this? DVR, Video Editing, PS2 games, DVD burning, launched in 2003:

Funny thing about this is that not only can the PS3 do more for us in the UK than the 360, it can do more than the X1. I can't believe they did their whole presentation around a feature that only the US can use.

PS3 = Live TV via PlayTV or NOW TV. PSN Store has virtually exactly the same amount of films to buy/rent with 1080p offered as the 360. Sport offered on NOW TV (Sky Sports)and the BBC Sport app.
63 Apps for the 360? Are you having a laugh? Yes it has plenty more than the PS3, but 63? Please. |
Hold on your comparing NowTV against proper full Sky???????????????
Now TV lets purchase a pass at a monthly cost for Movies or Sports. Thats it. Nothing else. On top of that the prices are worse than moaning about Xbox Live.
Monthly pass for Movies ( even if you already are a Sky customer ) is 15.99 GBP/ month. The sports is get this 9.99 GBP/day. Yes a day. I pay 30.00 GBP for SKy/month and get all what Now TV offers plus 100+ other channels. And get access via the Xbox 360 free. FREE. FFFFFRRRRREEEEEEE. All Channels on 360 freeeeeeee. Thats Live TV. Not Sports and movies that Sky offer. PS3 in UK does not have live TV. You can watch Live Sport for 9.99GBP/day and thats it. or catch up TV.
And yes the library of HD films on PS3 is smaller than 360. Ironically as well All of Sony Pictures movies are available on 360 in full 1080p some with smartglass. PS3 is better recently with its new releases. But the back catalog of films misses alot that 360 has.

Right now I'm skyping, playing P4G and reading a guide in a browser. All processes are running on Vita and swaping between them is instant. |
This is a great example. Vita is an awsome multitasking device, and can do basically everything shown at the Xbone conference minus TV and PiP. PS4 adds dedicated chips for networking, audio, video, and compression/decompression, so it only makes since that it would be even more capable.

Well you can multitask on the Xbox one which I don't think you can do on the PS4. And when did Sony say the PS4 will offer live tv?
