Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Battlefield 4 skipping Wii U

I'm sure it's already been said in this thread, but hopefully the game sees a release on the Wii U along with the PS4 and 720, whenever it eventually releases on those consoles.

Expected.

Battlefield is the "me too" to CoD.

Don't quite see how you came to this conclusion unless you're looking at campaigns in a vacuum. BF's multiplayer is vastly different to COD's, and it's been alive and kicking long before COD was ever this popular (pre-cod4). The only real influence COD has seemed to have on BF's multiplayer is in accessibility, maybe aesthetics and maybe more fluid mechanics (all of which could be argued to be natural progressions that would have happened without COD anyway); BF is still more strategic (team-based, squad system, commands), more open, far more vehicle focused, and a more recent dissimilarity is dynamic maps (destruction).

Stay classy, EA.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Is this a DICE decision or is it an EA decision? I need to know who I should criticize.

Yawn. Why is this news? People mainly buy Nintendo consoles for first party games. We all know this. Next.

"Unprecedented support"

Unprecedented indeed, none at all. Never happened before. Even Wii got some games

Oh, none is not true. WiiU got a gimped FIFA and ME3 without 1+2.

There are seemingly camps: western developers tend to support Sony and MS, japanese devs tend to support Nintendo and Sony.

Then please tell me which japanese developer is still supporting WiiU (besides Capcom who obviously received a lot of money). Xbox get more, many more Japanese games than WiiU. The only real support I see for is from Ubisoft btw. Even 3DS is progressively abandoned by Japanese devs for major releases.

Namco, SquareEnix, Atlus. They are japanese companies last time I checked.

Agreed, although I used more words to say the same in my earlier post.

Not surprising to anyone really. They'll have a hard time getting this game to run on PS3/360 then there's the PS4/720 ports.....they can't do everything and skipping the Wii U version is an easy decision for most publishers right now.
