Battlefield is the "me too" to CoD.

Don't quite see how you came to this conclusion unless you're looking at campaigns in a vacuum. BF's multiplayer is vastly different to COD's, and it's been alive and kicking long before COD was ever this popular (pre-cod4). The only real influence COD has seemed to have on BF's multiplayer is in accessibility, maybe aesthetics and maybe more fluid mechanics (all of which could be argued to be natural progressions that would have happened without COD anyway); BF is still more strategic (team-based, squad system, commands), more open, far more vehicle focused, and a more recent dissimilarity is dynamic maps (destruction).
