I never  once said the 360 was a better place for new ips more I showing that there's a good market for it and that the ps3 isn't some sure shot for good sales for jrpgs as some In This thread are saying. The original poster who I was quoting acted as If the ps3 would have made the lost odyssey sell better back then and that wasn't a fact but a possibility.

No prediction based on hypothetical scenarios this complex is ever really fact, but he has the most evidence behind his argument unless you assume that Sony would not have put up the ad campaign that MS did which is a reasonable probability but not what you presented.

Yes, he was wrong in the idea that it definitely would have sold better had it been on PS3 but you were wrong in your justification "considering alot of the the new rpgs ips relased exclusively on 360 sold better than the new ones on ps3 imma have to say that its in no way absolute that it would have sold better on ps3." because you arne't comparing apples to apples with your "a lot of the new RPGs IPs released sold better"  The only apples to apples comparisons for rpg fanbase sales have been in favor of the PS3, so assuming that it got the same ad campaign I think the most likely answer is it would have sold better.

No he did not hve the most evidence. Aslo 2 bolded im comparing jpgs to jrpgs that is apples to apples. But its all good well never agree lol.

He's the only one of you two with any evidence tbh.  God I wish companies came out with their budgets so I could show you how "apples to apples" your comparison is, but I guess you'll just keep comparing Lost Odyssey to NISA published titles as though they're one and the same.

Get it for PS3 over PSN. It released on PSN.

Also 360 isn't region locked. Can a single game be region locked?

What do you mean?

I'd say the 360 is region locked, I can't think of any retail games that are region free. And single games can be region locked, Persona 4 Arena on PS3 sticks out like a sore thumb being the only region locked game (I believe).

Some of the side scrolling SHMUPs from Treasure are region-free, but those are only region-free 360 games I know of.

I was under the impression that the whether or not a 360 game is region free is up to the individual publisher. Am I mistaken?

This is true. I thought most were region locked though.

Looking at this (not sure of its accuracy), but it seems the situation isn't as bad as I thought. My perception was shaped as most Japanese 360 game do not work with American 360s.

I don't know what's worse. If it's you mixing Nier in the same sh*t bag as N3, TLR and Tales 2, or the fact that you said the endings are lackluster while at the same time praising Lost Odyssey.

pls Michael that hurts.

Ouch!

Lost Odyssey had an amazing ending, and overall I think it's the best JRPG game this gen. Niers endings were 30 seconds long, they never explain how Yonha magically gets cured from the Black Sprawl, they never explain how the Black Sprawl came into existance, how humanity nearly came to an extinction 1300 years ago, why there are "generations" of identical people who use human shells which get old and die (but somehow come back with new souls or lives attached to them) and well it explained diddly squat. Plus you had to replay half the game with no branching story path and very minimal added dialogue.

Nier isn't as bad as N3, but from what I played of Tales 2 and TLR it's no better then that. It's the worst JRPG which I have played and finished.

Lost Odyssey explained everything except for why immortals are immortal in this world, but really do you expect them to explain that? That's like complaining that they didn't explain how a new universe was created with the 2 Gods in XenoBlade Chronicles.

The fact that you relate the two, I can't take you seriously anymore.

That's easy to tackle. Read this: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1vEP2iZ52P-DWhQBQ2Is6R8Wjao99AGi0YuWShTvA-tA/preview

Everything is explained, you just didn't bother to find the questions by yourself.

Okay I read that and I'm still not satisfied. Yonahs Replicant Body Clearly had the Black Sprawl, all she needed was Gestalt data to cure it? If that's the case, why didn't the Shadowlord just try to talk to Nier Replicant and explain the situation? I mean the Gestalts were awakened over 170 years before the events of the game, I'm sure they could have realized that the humans cannot understand them and figured out some form of communication. Why didn't the original Nier just try to talk to his Replicant and explain the situation, or why didn't Weiss explain it to Nier when he figured it out near the end?

Plus that page doesn't explain everything about the source of the Black Sprawl. I understand that some giant just appeared one day from a parallel world and so did a dragon, but why did they at first teleport?

When compared to Lost Odyssey, Lost Odyssey does explain that the 5 immortals were volunteers and that they travelled to the world that the game takes place to learn about it. Why no one else came isn't explained, but that makes sense since comminication with their source world is cut off and I know they wish to remain because they are immortal in this world (as explained by the end of the game).

That webpage was informative, but why couldn't there be a dialogue with Weiss at the end of the game explaining this? Why wasn't there a possible ending based on people just talking this out. How the heck does an Android cry, and why does it have feelings? Also why are the ending cutscenese so short and obvious? Why do I have to play the exact same second half of the game to unlock them? This is why I don't like Nier, at least in Drakengard, alternate endings are obtained by doing specific missions which are unlocked when you beat the game the first time.

Nier to me just doesn't seem finished. The only finished (and also good) part of the game are story sequences involving Emil.

This is a much better list. (Although way more lousy xD).

Unfortunately, Record of Agarest Zero is not compatible with the PAL version. The American and Japanese version are compatible between each other, though.

I must admit that I have never played the game, since it was released only on the X360. If it was released on the PS3 I might give it a try though.

To your question, why I do not buy a X360 just for the few JRPGs. If I buy a console I would like to use it intensely since it is plugged besides my TV set. My Wife is already bugging me because the Wii is standing besides the PS3 and I do not use it regularly (I just bought Xenoblade and the last Story and still I haven't found time to play them).

Since I do not play shooters much I can play practically all games I want on the PS3. The X360 simply offers almost no exclusives I care about (Tales of Vesperia, the Last Remnant being the only two games that made me think about an Xbox). So I would never buy Halo or Gears as much as I never bought Killzone.

So buying a console just for two games is simply a waste of money in my opinion.

Your biggest problem Michael-5 is that you still think that the Black Scrawl is a disease or illness. Stopping thinking about it in that frame.

There's more than two, (what you've mentioned) and of course, more than Halo and Gears. Just to let you know.
