Lets see what Microsoft has in store, i expect identical power but with alot more innovation, something that Sony clearly lacks.

Ps Eye is Kinect, Launch Games are basically what we already have on Ps3, sequels, more sequels and the best shows were Capcom Game and Square Enix Trailer.

Apart from Ps4 amazing power, i dont saw anything we hadnt saw yet, games looks amazing sure but is that it ? Next Gen will be only about Graphics ? That Psn interface looks rough, facebook ? Seriously, facebook is filtered with spam from everysingle page if we are going to see everything on facebook on Psn its going to be a mess. i have like 1k friends on face mostly i dont even know who they are, i wont be deleting everyone for sure so they will all appear there ? What a mess it will be.

People are too excited but this service looks just rough, apart from the Share button and Gaikai Streaming of Games.

I rather have the simplicity of Live, if Xbox foes this way with Facebook and all that nonsense than gaming is doomed, its no longer about games, Sony was the company about games is making Ps4 a facebook station, where are the new ips ? Crack looks avarage, the other are multi tittles.

As i said, powerfull but that doesnt mean anything, if they dont provied good services im out. That Psn with facebook looks awfull, i hope it can be disabled.

Microsoft better impress me, Sony clearly hasnt, neither Nintendo.

The PS4 can do a lot more with the same CPU because what it's doing is far more focused. The same will be said of the Nextbox which is rumored to have a similar processor.

A trade-off is required to cut manufacturing costs in the right way. I bet Sony has been focusing on GPU where they could pull out a real performance.

What? For a very long time now, the x86-architecture has different address-bit-length then data-bit-length. Going back to the 80286, it had 16 bits for data (range of 0-65535), but an address-range of 20 bits (=1 Megabyte). Also the x86-architecture has differing data-size over time. As you see, the 80286 has 16bit, the 80386 introduced 32bit and for some years now they support 64bit. I don't know much about the Jaguar-architecture itself, but as the AMD-extension for 64bit is now used commonly in the x86-architecture (even by Intel), I guess it is also included in the newer AMD-architecture.

Did you even watch the conference? Out of every thing they showed, "facebook with PSN" is you remember? Try harder mate. 

What about, watching friends play and help them with remote play? A sleep mode for the console? Play the games as you are downloading them? Stream playstation 4 games to the Vita? An additional processor to handle the backend stuff? Allows Used games? Does not require an internet connection?

Please, get out of here that rubbish.

Jaguar is a 64 bits architecture. Nowadays almost every X86 chip sold is 64 bits compatible, everyone but some atom models.

Do you know that X86 began as a 16 bits architecture with the Intel 8086? PS4 16 bits confirmed.

And the 8086 was a 16bit extension on the 8080 (8 bit) which itself was derived from the 8008, which arguably owes its legacy to the 4004 (1971)which was 4 bit.

why? It's not DDR5 (which isn't specified) nor DDR4, ist GDDR5.

Because it's somewhere around 150$?

That's Sonys problem resulting in an expensive console.


I'm just happy to see that Sony at least sometimes listens to the criticism it receives, in this case the devs complaining about the lack of memory.

Nobody cares about Vita useless Feature.

Playing the games is pretty awesome.

Allowing used games and not internet has allways been in every console anyway.

Watching friends and help them seems a great feature but i can already do that on Live, just invite me.

It may be. Might not. Lots of things go into how a CPU works. They are low-power devices, but this generation is looking to be GPU centric.
