Now i was fine skimming the first lines of posts to not run into spoilers untill yours... I stopped reading there but please tell me those first five words do not contain a big spoiler.

They do. >_>

Tags people, tags.

I guess Kantor can reprimand himself?

Now I just need to drown that little bit of information before watching the movie... damn.

Nope, really wanted to though. The Nazis at the BBFC decided this film was too much for my fragile little mind.

And yet they made Movie 43 a 15 lulz

Planning to see it in the future also this is the first Tarantino movie that contains original songs and they are all really good especially "Ancora Qui" by Ennio Morricone and Elisa Toffoli and "Who Did That To You?" by John Legend unfortunately they got snubbed by the Academy Awards and Golden Globes but since the Grammy are not that up to date there is still a change that the soundtrack will be nominated next year.

It was fantastic.

It was ok, very entertaining but I wish Tarantino move on from the throwbacks and homages. Sam Jackson and Christoph Waltz were the best thing about it.

BTW Leo was just comical as the bad guy, he is always Leo with a costume in every movie it just cracks me up. He doesn't have range.

This is the best song of the film in my opinion. It gets amazing at the 45 second mark. When I watched it in theatres and the camera slowly zoomed up towards Django whilst this song was playing, it was awesome.

Great until the German guy dies, and then it devolves from an intelligent, dark action-comedy-thriller into a mess of explosions and blood with nothing resembling a coherent plot, the kind of thing I would expect from Michael Bay rather than Tarantino. Honestly, after that shootout, Django should just have been shot dead or something and the movie would have been much better.

So I guess that averages out to a "good" overall.

Completely agree. It is a really good movie though overall and I loved the soundtrack.

This. Completely unnecessary.

Also why didn't they just buy Django's wife for 12.000 instead of Eskimo Joe first ? They had the money and since it was a very profitable winter for them (that gang alone was worth 12.000 I think) you'd guess that Django wouldn't be so cheap to try to get his wife back for a few bucks.
I know that they probably never wanted to buy Eskimo Joe, but c'mon Django could have helped Dr. Schultz for another year and earn some more money, so they would be even.

@OP:
I thought the Django song at the beginning was very fitting. Can't remember a "70s" song but I agree with you that the rap song took me out of the film.

Maybe because if they knew that Django wanted her because she was his wife and that it had nothing to do with business they wouldn't sell her to him. They were racist :p. They had to make it all about business to be taken seriously.

This sounds like one of the best none original tracks used in the movie.

After they were exposed I actually expected either an immediate gun fight or that they would only sell her for much more or not at all. But no he just said give me $12000 for the girl and let's forget about Eskimo Joe.
It just doesn't make sense. $12000 for a "worthless" ($300) house slave would've been a far better deal for Calvin Candie than $12000 for a fighter who is indeed worth several thousand dollars.
