AC2 was the best of the series by far. but about AC3, it gets better with time, it certainly doesnt become boring, where have you reached? but a heads up dont expect the game to live up to AC2 or brotherhood

A lot of the complains about this game are related to its pace. The game utilizes 6 chapters as tutorials, that is too much.

The naval combat and Connor's animation/fluidity while moving are really great. The cities(Boston and NY) on the other hand, feel lifeless and empty for me.

It gets a little bit better, but not much.

In a way the best part of the game is when you're playing as Haytham because he has more personality than a brick wall, unlike Connor.

The story missions actually get pretty good, but because there is a complete lack of side content you are essentially playing a linear game in an overly large world.

The Desmond segments get quite interesting towards the end, but the ending itself is garbage.

So, I would recommend that you stay with it. Don't force yourself to play the crappy side content or use the tacked-on hunting mechanic, just go through the story.

How much better is it supposed to get? Shame what the series has become. Ac2 is one of my favorite games of all time and it seems that the entries have gotten worse with each new release....

Just enjoy the story.  Trust me you have plenty of time to explore and there's plenty to do once you get into it.  I also really enjoyed Haytham's missions just not Connor's early ones.  Haytham is my favorite AC character by far the guy just gets stuff done and is his dialog is very well delivered.

If you mostly ignore Connor the story is alright, he is just unbelievably boring. I also feel they didn't want to turn on the Americans too much, but they do call them out for their hypocracy (land of the free, apart from if you are not white)

It is still a fun game to play, I just don't understand why everyone is hating on this game so much
