AC3 was really good and I personally enjoyed it from start to finsh , its easily my second favorite after AC Brotherhood.
I too didn't like AC2 and got bored with it after 2 hours or so. Try Brotherhood and AC3 you may like them.
Don't take others opinions as facts, Try it for yourself and find out. Critics and fans loved it.
