Higher value? People dont give a damn if a ps3 is 160gb or 500gb. Only a few hardcore gamers would and they probably already have all three consoles. Come to think of it, doesnt the slimmer model offer less functionality?

Come on...you know Halo 4 had something to do with it. Last year it was Kinect and this year its Halo, be at peace with it. Microsoft knows they dont have much so they properly place the games where the largest amount of numbers will come in. Its common sense, but kudos to them for having it. The next Gears is set for Q1 so you know they are on their way out. Microsoft wouldnt in their right mind launch Gears anytime but forth quarter otherwise.

I thought it has been proven that these sales were from Sunday-Friday and not just the weekend.

Other than that you're free to believe that, but a 30% percent increase while the 360 has likely a 20% decrease sounds... off.
Especially when both consoles were already tracking well below YOY last week.

same funciontality.. less power consumption.. smaller.. sleaker.. new design.. bundled with 5 games.. 250GB HDD

of course, if sony still sells the ps3 for another 5 years and keeps selling it in every angle of the world then it might have a chance. but if nintendo decides to release the mini-wii not just in canada... tough.
