I'd like you to find those posts, because I never said PS360's decline was or would be due to WiiU or anything else but the fact that this gen is ending and they are down YOY in double digits already.

Sure 700k is nice, but last year it was 1m. That's a ~30% drop. Part is obviously a gen ending and part might be related to WiiU or 3DS or Apple or a sale on Oreos. Wii was also down due to gen ending and frankly, the Wii being saturated in the market with no new content at all.

Anyone's point that this is some sort of victory for MS is very wrong. Facts are 360 and PS3 are down, significantly, YOY. The gen is over. By this time next year, WiiU will be in 10 million sold range and neXtBox/PS4 will be on shelves.

EDIT: one more note, PS360 were heavily adverstized in EVERY black friday ad. Did you see any WiiU ads?

Nah, it happened with 360, PS3 vs. PS2 as well for a few years. BF is where the price matters the most and Wii U simply costs twice as much as a 360.


I mean, you could make an exception. You can say that the Ps2 was 5 years(?) old at the time of the X360 launch. 

But this time, the Xbox360 is 7 years old.

Yeah, but this is the holidays son. It wont show its true colors till mid next year.

The only two months of the year Microsoft really cares about. No surprise to see the 360 selling well during the holidays in America. Microsoft has nothing left in the tank software wise for 2013. All thats left in Gears in first quarter and thats it.

X360 sold 750K on black friday weekend alone.. what's to say the console didn't get close to 900K for the week?

PS3 has a slimmer model.. and a better value bundle compared to last year..

I do expect higher than 500K weekly sales for PS3 this time
