So the 360 "raped" the WiiU at launch.  I knew that would happen XD.  Hopefully the PS3 will also have great numbers XD.

PS3 probably sold 550-650K, sony's black friday bundles sold out immediately

I'm just hoping that it managed to match Wii U, although it might be closer to 350k or so.

I'd be suprised if it didn't outsell WII U by at least 100K..

Great sales. No Saturday either so the number might be...50k higher ?
Either way amazing week. Now let's hope that Christmas will be similar this time and not less.

I just hope PS3 sold at least 500K, and vita sold at least 200K..

I don't recall, but a lot of users(maybe you included) said that HD console sales would be down significantly after the WII u launched because it was nexgen.......

and PS2 destroyed everything for two years after everything launched due to the fact the PS2 was $129/$99 and still getting high quality AA/AAA ip

I mean Wii was $89.99 for black friday.. and sold 300K

I'd like you to find those posts, because I never said PS360's decline was or would be due to WiiU or anything else but the fact that this gen is ending and they are down YOY in double digits already.

Sure 700k is nice, but last year it was 1m. That's a ~30% drop. Part is obviously a gen ending and part might be related to WiiU or 3DS or Apple or a sale on Oreos. Wii was also down due to gen ending and frankly, the Wii being saturated in the market with no new content at all.

Anyone's point that this is some sort of victory for MS is very wrong. Facts are 360 and PS3 are down, significantly, YOY. The gen is over. By this time next year, WiiU will be in 10 million sold range and neXtBox/PS4 will be on shelves.

EDIT: one more note, PS360 were heavily adverstized in EVERY black friday ad. Did you see any WiiU ads?

Yeah last years holiday sales were weird.

Huge November and a pretty poor December

Note that the official retail reporting calendar runs from Sunday, Nov. 18 – Friday, Nov. 23, so these sales do not reflect Saturday and Sunday retail sales

"wanted to let you know that over the Holiday weekend"

Sunday, Nov. 18 – Friday, Nov. 23

That's not a weekend. They both say "week" and "over the holiday weekend" that usually means an extended weekend, not everything but the weekend.

"We saw incredible activity on Xbox over the weekend. For example, on Sunday alone we had more than 14 million people on Xbox LIVE across the world, racking up more than 72 million hours of use in just one day."

That's what the weekend about

oh and

Sunday, Nov. 18 – Friday, Nov. 23

Checked the OP and you're right, but Cyrus wasn't right. It's only missing Saturday 24th sales.

Yup

Btw NPD nov 2012 will be Oct 28~Nov 24 or Dec 1?

Pretty damn impressive, should be relatively close to 1M for the entire week WW.

Good news
