It's not really that lower btw

Relatively speaking it is significantly lower.

AAA game sales have increasingly become more front-loaded by every year. Pre-order and first week numbers have increasingly become inflated and don't correlate to projected lifetime sales in the same way they did for older games.

First week sales of 340K in 2013 means much less lifetimes sales than 360k did in 2007.

Halo 4 has 0 chance to pass 10 million now.

Yeah that explained why skyrim/ACRevelations/Forza 4/BF3/SR3 can still get decent sales in 2012 because they're not AAA games, right?

Interesting that whenever we hear good news from the UK, its Xbox land, whenever a title performs a little less, well it doesn't even matters.

As expected anyways. CoD simply dominates the FPS market like Halo can never even dream to do...

A bit sweeping to say that with any certainty really.

Advertising.

While Halo 4 adverts have been plenty, the adverts themself have been poor. Especially in comparison to Reach.

Anyway. What was the 360 UK userbase at Halo 3 launch? Same for Reach?

I'd have thought you would have been more concerned with vita selling 45k TOTAL software for the whole of October in the UK. After all you are a PS fan now.

Here we go again, kowen has to bring PlayStation into a Microsoft thread. Just give up your little crusade against Vita already. Its boring.

This makes me a sad panda.

I've been spreading the word amongst people I know and I've already persuaded 3 people to buy it who haven't bought it on launch day.

Anyway, there's no doubt about whether this will be a long-term success or not. Word of mouth will be massive! Quality sells

Right. You don't know this. But even if its true, so what? You are becoming a bit frantic in your rabid pursuit of downplay and negativity. You ok?

Your second paragraph here has nothing to do with the subject at hand.  Let's try to keep things on topic, shall we?

Doesnt really surprise me. Lots of competition this month, relativity poor advertising and many on my friends list have let their XBL sub lapse.

Of course it will be a big success. The question is just HOW big. Bigger than Halo 3? I don't think that's likely. Bigger than Reach? Certainly possible, even likely.

Higher than Halo 3? No chance. Higher than Reach? Indubitably.

We're the same, you and me. We're the same, don't you see?

You downplay everything Sony and scan for news that are negative for Sony. Nothing wrong with that.

I do the same for MS. Nothing wrong with that.

Btw, I don't like the Vita. I agree with you it's a big flop and I too put emphasis on everything that is negative about the Vita.
