The stickers are every bit as stupid as I expected, judging from the reviews. The presentation of the game holds up but the core is broken. The review text is so much more negative than the scores in each review, makes me wonder if first-party titles aren't allowed to get lower than an 8.

I now expect poor sales, and those poor sales will justify never making a Paper Mario ever again, thus killing the series. If they'd just done a normal installment like 1-2 it would sell the same (or more, given the DS's appeal to niche RPG players) and be able to carry on.

The majority of the reviews seem to really like the stickers...so much negativity on this site lately, what is up with you guys?

It's the specific flaws mentioned I'm concerned about.

The same way SPM killed the sales and the series by not being turn based?

I'm not saying spinoffs with different gameplay are bad. I'm saying Nintendo can't use their performance to justify killing the main series. But they will, because they've done it in the past.

People can enjoy what they want, but I want to see more of PM1/2 and there is still enough of an audience to sustain that kind of game.

I'm now waiting for someone uses the "but surely games have to change?" argument.

Giantbomb doesn't give odd number reviews but rest could be right. I am thinking 7 from destructoid somehow. Game looks worth playing for sure.

I read it. It made me feel a bit better about the game.

I'm gonna go check out more info about this game. I've been avoiding looking at it since I thought I was gonna get it for sure (I thought it was gonna be like PM1 and TTYD). Now I actually need something to look at before I buy... I won't make the same mistake as Super Paper Mario. I bought that one without even thinking, it was supposed to be a new sequel to PM after all.

OMG I can't wait for Fire Emblem now! At least we know that one's a real Fire Emblem game -_-U
