Anyways, I'll be buying it eventually. The gameplay sounds great and as long as thats intact I wont really mind getting stuck a few times :)

I still have it pre-ordered and I'll still play it but it's disappointing to have your doubts confirmed.

Indeed. The whole Sticker System combined with the fact that you don't earn experience points from battles was kind of alarming... but it's still Paper Mario at its heart, and that's more that can be said about Super Paper Mario.

The Thousand Year Door still reigns supreme.

That venturebeat review seems a bit harsh; I'd say the IGN one is pretty much right from what I've read. 8/10 seems good.
