It's getting good reviews so this will probably be the best handheld game released this fall.

Yeah, it's possible, though considering that the Wii U is new tech, I don't know if a title will get 90+ on launch.

Back on topic: Those reviews are fine to me. The game obviously wasn't going to be like the first two titles and it also wasn't like Super Paper Mario, so it's a new spin to the series I suppose. Which is cool. I've already got it preordered and some of what I've read really makes me think of old RPG games so I think I'll have fun.

As the reviewer in question, I just wanted to clarify that we were not allowed to record more than 5-minutes of footage for Paper Mario before the 11th. And since I had already posted several minutes worth of gameplay, I had about 1-minute left to work with for an 8-minute review, which is why I looped in some trailer footage. Yes, a few scenes repeat, but it really isn't that many. I'm sorry that it botherered you so much, but there wasn't much else I could do.

It's okay man. I doubt I'll agree with your opinion once I get my hands on the game, but I appreciate what you do (especially what you have to work with at times) and hope that negative, ignorant comments won't get you down.

Oh, I've been in the industry long enough that most of it doesn't get to me too much, but thanks for the kind words, and I do hope you do enjoy the game more than I did =) 

I found really strange that your site did not enjoyed the game, you're been big supporters from as far as I remember.

I was as surprised as you were--I really liked what I played at the preview events, but the game really turned for me a few hours in. And thanks for the kind words about the analysis videos--it means a lot!
