I don't find my option there. I want to buy it but haven't been able to gather the money. No I don't think its too expensive and I'm not waiting for a price drop.

even though you don't really think it is too expensive, you do have limited funds. So if Sony were to give a price drop that would be most likely to put it within your range of purchasing. Am I wrong?

Put too expensive.

You are wrong. Unless the price cut would be to 120$. The main thing is that this would be a major expense for my own pleasure excusively.
And with all the unforseen expeditures I had lately, I wasn't able to morraly squeez this in. I don't think it's expensive and I don't wait for a price cut (though I do search for the best deal). I do intend to buy it. Each month.

I can't put too expensive since I think that even it it was half the price (so freeking cheap), I still would have not bought it yet...probably...I think.

Edit:

Fine, I put too expensive. Although, looking at the ridiculous prices people are paying for a smartphone these days, I really think it's not.

So to me it is looking like price of the system is key. So would it be fair to say that Sony has about 2million people waiting in the wing for a price drop and almost another 2million simply waiting on games?

I would like it if Sony would at least tap into the 2mill waiting on that price drop sometime this year. It would be very foolish to let this Christmas season go by without one.

Nooooo! They can't do that! A Price-Drop would be ridiculous!

Why? It sold under 50k in the USA last month, which is extremely low. They need a price cut ASAP!

I knew someone was going to take that seriously, and it's sad that it turned out to be you. :P

I was immitating the people who keep thinking that a price-cut is a horrible and worthless decision for Vita.

(Hopefully you're not tricking me...)

I don't think Vita technically "should" drop price, more so they NEED to drop price if you know what I mean. The system is priced directly perportionate to it's worth and people are ALWAYS going to want to get things as cheap as possible There are things leaning Sony in both Directions.

Pro Price Drop-

  • Vita is too expensive in the current market when the immediate competition is almost half the price.
  • Sony's hand is being forced due to market ignorance. The Media and all this "Doom" nonesense about handheld gaming and the fact Nintendo(the market leader) succumbed makes a price drop mandatory regardless of actual worth to the consumer they fear the same thing that happened to 3DS early adopters will happen to them.
  • Bad decisions on many fronts as far as advertising and delays of certain features that were promised earlier on have hurt the brand even more.
  • The system is struggling to gain 3rd party support. The tech is there but Publishers are hesitant due to low sales, price drop is 100% likely to boost sales.
Con Price Drop-
  • Sony is in a financial choke hold. They need every cent they can muster. To drop price now just means more losses. Even if it is selling 1 system a day, it is GAINING profit.
  • Sony is a very proud and stuborn company. They have always had an air about them that they think their products are 1st class. They usually are(in my opinion) but they trend to like to be higher class when the common consumer in their market is middle to lower.
  • They don't want to give in to Self FullFilling Price Drop Rumours or it will never stop.
  • It is very early for any console to be dropping price. So what if Nintendo did it, their system was really worth what they were asking.
  • People often times regard cheaper price as inferior products. Sony is going after Smart Phone/Device market(seeing as they are supposedly creeping in on theirs) and if they can charge exorbant premiums, Sony should AT LEAST be able to sell at a gain(less than $50 a Vita).

Like portables but i exclusively game at home. Own a DS Lite *non 3d*. Still have so many games to explore on that. So yea.

I chose "The Games are too much like PS3," but my real reason is because it can't connect to my TV. The only reason I own a PSP (And not a DS) is because it can connect to my TV.

I am the Playstation Avenger.

I don't have a Vita yet because:

1. I'm broke!!!
2. There isn't much originality in the games. Most of them seem better on the PS3
3. 3G isn't worth it, not with 4G becoming mainstream, and crappy AT&T
4. I'm waiting on a killer bundle; something akin to the PSP Entertainment Packs with a killer color, or the 3DS bundles Nintendo had last year. The ACIII + White Vita bundle may do the trick.

  1. Get a Job you Hippie (kidding)
  2. How do you know this if you haven't tried them? Do you have a 3DS? If you do I am betting you own a Mario/1st Party NIN title or another which is also offered on console. Most of the 1st party offering from Sony have been stellar so far but mental prejudice/double standards like these are hindering them. If you get the chance just try U:GA,Gravity Rush, SS Delta, etc.
  3. I can personally say you are completely correct on this one ut not for the reason u might think. It is just so expensive trying to get service with AT&T not to mention they are boarderline incompetent. It does have its functionality though 4G would have been better.
  4. Legit.

1. I'm looking!!

2. What I mean, is that the experience is the EXACT SAME as it is on the PS3, at least that's the way it is with Uncharted and Wipeout. They're good games, but they would be better on the PS3. The experience isn't really changed on the Vita, and the PSP had pretty much the exact same problem outside of a few games, and if I recall, some devs didn't like that as well.

I have a 3DS and Mario Kart 7, but the difference is Nintendo changes the experience from console to portable. You won't see a full on Twilight Princess style Zelda on the 3DS. Mario 3D Land is also different. I will admit there is some overlap, but not as much as there is on the PS2/PS3 and PSP/Vita.

Too expensive and not enough games that interest me.Could only vote for one so I opted for the former but both are equally as important.

Three big factors for me.

Memory Cards are fucking crazy in price, the prices for the Vita's 32 GB card is 99$ (80-90 on most sites now) compared to a Sans 32 GB card at 17$....

Waiting to see if they will pull out a new model that will make the old version useless with it's new features like what happened with the PSP's first model.

True Japanese support, very little has been shown from the Japanese side that isn't to Niche to ever get out Japan or a upgraded version of a old game, this TGS will test if it will have good Japanese support or not.

Former something....
