Well when persona 4 and gravity rush launched I thought that all the console needs is good quality games to be released. Clearly it did stimulate sales in that week but it never really sustained them. The next big release for vita is hatsuna miku and until then there's nothing else on the horizon meaning its weekly sales will just drift along at around 7-10k which isn't good enough. In the mean time the 3ds is getting super mario brothers, animal crossing and the 3ds XL, which will just keep giving Japan more reasons to choose a 3ds over a vita. 3ds is also getting the next monster hunter and the vita isn't.. It needs a price cut now to stay relevant.

At this rate 3DS will pass the PS3 in no time!
Only the DS will be unreachable, but let's not forget that by this point it had the ultimate system seller.

Pirates of the Caribbean China

Mario did in line with expectations, maybe a bit lower. In other words, it did great.

Good job to all the new games this week! Except for Brain Age. That did disappointingly.

Anyhow, Pacman has been surpassed!

Persona 4 Arena did well despite the region lock. Not like the lock affected Japanese numbers, stupid Atlus making me fork out over 80 bucks for an import.

Brain Age did similar to the first game (47k FW), and will probably be much higher with digital sales). But compared to Brain Age 2 (400k FW) it's waaaay behind, and i can't see digital sales propelling it that high. Seriously Nintendo releasing data will give us an idea, hopefully we get one soon.

On the hardware front, Wii above 10k is surely the highlight of the week! 3DS sales, well spectacular! The standard 3DS model itself would've lead the week easy. 235k is simply spectacular! And PS3 is realldy doing well YoY. With the Slim 2 releasing, it has a chance for improving on 2011! Can't believe it's getting to 10 mil, stunning

I wonder how the two titles did digitally. Too bad that is almost never report. But yes the LL killed this week (2days).

3DS did well, but that's not surprising.
I'm more interested in Wii > Vita by Famitsu, :D! Could Wii briefly take second place next week?

Brain Age is clearly a case of Duck Hunt/Tetris/Nintendogs

It had its time and place. That said, this is good numbers for that type of game. I mean, most of them probably don't reach 1k
