Forums - Sales - Once again PS3/X360 gap is less then 2 million

Ok we hit then point once again with the gap being less then 2 million, let's hope adjustments don't kick in and throw it off again.

X360 - 67,253,215

PS3 - 65,256,394

By the end of the year that gap could be less then 1 million.

I highly doubt that, November and December will be huge for Xbox thanks to Black Ops 2 and Halo 4. PS3 doesn't really have any system sellers for the holiday season.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Remodel/price cut. Plus blops2 also releases on PS3 and sells nearly as much.

Not sure the gap will shrink to 1m though.

No troll is too much for me to handle. I rehabilitate trolls, I train people. I am the Troll Whisperer.

This gap shrink has come around faster this year than last, so I think the PS3 will come in at 1.5 in terms of the gap at the end of the year.

Playstation gaming for 18 years this 2012

And yet MS still endures

The holiday is when 360 picks up and we all know it. Funny people STILL think COD is a equal opportunity multiplat lol. Its a 360 first game that system spikes 360 only. All there is to it. Throw in Halo 4 and any 360 price cuts that are loooong overdue and you got that gap back in a better position.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Two games that are not system sellers at this point of the generation versus a new Slimmer PS3 and an obviously cheaper 16GB version.

New PS3 Slim +$179 Price....Too bad The Last of US is missing this Year,

Atto Suggests...:

Book - Malazan Book of the Fallen series

Game - Metro Last Light

TV - Deadwood

Music - Forest Swords

Halo 4 is not a system seller guys, surely you would know this by now, same as Call of Duty.

There's already 6 Halo games on the X360 and 7 Call of Duty, why would the 7th Halo game or 8th CoD game bring in new people??

Go look at when Pokemon Black and White 2 came out for the DS it sold almost 2 million in japan alone first week and the DS went from selling 1000 units the week prior to 1600 units when B&W2 came out.

When your this late in the gen the only system sellers are actually new ip's or a game that has yet to be on the system.

COD seemed to sell a ton of 360s last year to many first time buyers. Bundle or not, it did the trick. Its also been 5 years since Halo 3.

Funny thing about humans......we age. 5 years a ton of kids aged to be in their early teens. Point is there is always fresh meat because we grow up so damn fast.

But your clearly neglecting 360s long overdue price cuts and superior marketing budget. Oh and the casual effect with kinect and dance central 3 (move has no such luxury of system seller or casual appeal).

Im fairly sure the PS3 is overtracked...

Either way, this Holiday will be fun. A lots gonna be going on!
